Does anybody here know any singers who sing the song "Somewhere over the rainbow" completely? I've been trying to download the song, but all the ones that I've found thus far start the song by singing
"Somewhere over the rainbow way up high..." etc.

Which is wrong. There is another verse before that which goes like this

"When all the world is a hopeless jumble
And the raindrops tumble all around
Heaven opens a magic lane
When all the clouds darken up the skyway
There's a rainbow highway to be found
Leading from your window pane
To a place behind the sun
Just a step beyond the rain"

*Then*, this part begins...

Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
There's a land that I've heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

I've been searching and searching, and it's driving me crazy. I know that most singers do not sing the first verse. But it has proven really difficult to find one that actually does.

Please help. frown

Well, it was originally sung by Judy Garland. Is it possible to find anything online under her name?

This site lists it as an Ella Fitzgerald song, with full lyrics:

Maybe she recorded the full version?

She did. smile Thanks Wendy!

I miss the first verse, though frankly the verse is a little out of place; the song doesn't lose much meaning even when that first verse has been omitted.
