I discovered this website today:
http://www.spiritofamerica.net/ It's a project that raises money from ordinary Americans to send baseball gear, frisbees, school supplies and a lot of other things to kids in Iraq (and Afghanistan). These things are then delivered to the kids by the US Marines (there really aren't any aid organizations around, because it's still too dangerous). But Marines on the ground saw a need for this kind of thing last summer (
here\'s the story ), and the project's grown from there.
So, go check out the website, they've got lots of pictures and links. I think it's a great idea, and even a small donation will help them build peaceful relationships.
