I mentioned to my brother the thread 15 fun things to do at Walmart and he told me what he and his friends do when they visit big stores:

- They took things off other people's trolleys and put them back. ( )

- They use trolleys as vehicles.

- They went up and down several times the... what are they called... rolling stairways...?

- They went to the section with the exercise instruments and used them.

- They turned off the laptops. ( )

And they have more ideas

And I believe the word you were looking for is escalator.

The Wal-Mart I worked at had escalators without stairs - just a big moving ramp. So you could put your carts and strollers and whatnot on it. They called it a movator. (Pronounced MOH-vay-ter.)
