It was my birthday last week and one of my friends, who is up visiting, got me a fantastic birthday present - she got me my own domain name and made a fantastic front cover! hyper Go and have a peek, its at http://www.repository-of-knowledge.com/ . I haven't got any content yet, I just got it this afternoon, but I think you'll like the front page! laugh I love it, especially as I was working with a free website from geocities before this!

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Wow... you're right: it is a fantastic front cover!! smile1

Such a little thing really, a kiss...most people don't give it a moment's consideration. They kiss on meeting, they kiss on parting, that simple touching of flesh is taken entirely for granted as a basic human right.

Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

party happy (belated) birthday, loriel! party

and that is one cool front page. of course, it looks more like a repository of l&c's rather than a repository of knowledge, but hey, i'm not complaining. wink

When in doubt, think about penguins. It probably won't help, but at least it'll be fun.

Very cool front page, Loriel. As Paul said, I don't think you'll find anyone on these boards complaining about the content laugh .

And happy belated birthday! dance

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! smile

When I first got the idea for a website, it was going to be lots of trivia knowledge about the different sci-fi shows I watch, thus the name. I got a free site from geocities, spent ages writing HTML code for the layout (and yeah, I know you can get Word, Front Page etc to do that, but I liked writing the code!) but never came up with actual content. So, as a result, when Kath came up with the idea for a website for me she just used my current main obsession and this was the result! laugh

I was as high as a kite all afternoon, after she showed me this, hyper it was completely unexpected and I love it! (If you can't tell, I'm still all excited! blush )

Kath still has the originall psd file (she's a Photoshop genius) which she's going to give me so that I've got the collage, without the writing, for a desktop. smile

I've got exams for the next couple of weeks, but as soon as they're finished and I'm free for the summer, I'm going to start working on my site. And as soon as I've got its started you can be sure I'll let *everyone* laugh know its up!
