Quote
In America, only the successful writer is important, in France all writers are important, in England no writer is important, and in Australia you have to explain what a writer is.

When I first saw this quote I immediately thought:
'wonder what Tricia will make of this!'

Who is this Geoffrey Cottrell, anyway?

Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique.
Clark: You certainly are unique.

Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that?
Lois: But I'm worth it!

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."

"Oh, shut up."

Bethy, I don't remember the exact phrasing, but it was a quote about how the EU was a noble attempt to fulfill the age-old dream of a nation of English cooks, German lovers, French defence forces, and Italian efficiency experts wink And then I added in a bit about how war is God's way of teaching Americans geography smile just so I'd be fair and balanced wink
