Which episode is the one where there are tons of football references until Lois gets sick of it? I really can't remember which season it came from...

Anyone?

Lucky Leon?

It seems like there are a bunch of sports references in that one.

Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.

Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right.

Not sure, but maybe I've Got a Crush on You... you know, where they argue over sometimes "the player with the ball has to pass to someone else in a better position to score" kind of thing... I think that was that episode anyway. Not 100 percent positive though.

Yeah, Sue's right - it's Lucky Leon. It starts off because Jimmy is arrested for the death of that guy who died from the Desk Friend that Jimmy delivered. Perry uses sport metaphors to hide his real feelings for Jimmy.

The theme continues for the whole ep until the end when Superman kicks the "nuclear warhead fieldgoal" and Lois says "It's up... it's good!"

Oh and Lucky Leon is from Season 2 - First Date ep - around #16.

There sure are a lot of them in 'I've Got a Crush On You', too. Lois and Clark are trying to define how they expect one another to react to certain situations - and they use football metaphors for it throughout the ep. Btw, it's in season 1.

Laura S & Olympe - Now that I got home from work and could look up the eps <g> you guys are absolutely right. I've Got a Crush On You is the ep that Alana22 is looking for. I pulled a section of the script from the end:

CLARK
Sometimes the quarterback has to
fake a throw to his primary
receiver in order to free up his
secondary target.

LOIS
I'm getting pretty tired of
fumbling around with these stupid
football teamwork analogies.

CLARK
Me, too.

LOIS
Let's drop them then, okay?

CLARK
No problem. Let's pass.

She gives him a dirty look.

That does sound the most like what she was looking for - it deals specifically with Football... whereas Lucky Leon is more about sports in general. I've got a Crush on You is episode # 7 in season 1.

C-ya!
