For ASU rewrites or just out of curiosity, the site Impact: Earth! is an online calculator for cratering effects of hypothetical asteroid impacts. Now you don't need NASA to tell you what wait for if an asteroid is in route of collision. :p

You can choose size, speed, kind of material, angle, etc. and the site will give you information about crater dimensions, thermal radiation, global damages, seismic effects, tsunamis and more. Very detailed informations. Just toss your asteroid and see what it can do. eek

Thanks Andreia!

This is the perfect tool for writing an ASU story.

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
