Please post your answers here. Please don't forget your garbly-gook Spoiler Space at the beginning so nobody can accidentally steal your wrong answers (as well as your right ones). I also will be giving Shimmery Pink Stars for anyone recognizing their own stories. But I'll also be issuing these kind of stars for anyone who doesn't.

G O B B L E D Y - G O O K (or however that's supposed to be spelled...) S P O I L E R S P A C E Originally posted by VirginiaR: But I'll also be issuing these kind of stars for anyone who doesn't. I hadn't been planning on playing, since I don't think I'll have enough time even to read all of the quizzes, much less answer them, and I won't identify the other few that I recognized, but since I don't want to get one of those evil stars, I'll point out that I recognized #7 as my own "The Worst April Fools' Prank." I'll to admit that I didn't recognize it at all from the short quote, and it was only the phrase "do the dirty" and the word "hotty" in the excerpt that jogged my memory... I think that that story may have been the first time I ever actually used either one, either in writing or in speech, so they kind of stood out for me. I still feel a bit slimy just reading Ralph's words. Thanks for a fun quiz. Joy, Lynn

Let’s see. Virginia and Comedy. Hmm… LOIS: B E S T * C O M E D Y Spoiler space for today’s active topics. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Integer pellentesque metus nec arcu imperdiet sit amet laoreet augue egestas. Etiam vestibulum semper blandit. Quotes: 1. Okay, I want to say I remember this quote, but… 2. Ooooh! One from Ken’s Matchmaker Vignettes. Only which one… Well, the one where LnC left their offspring to fend for themselves… /checks author index/ Hurricane? 3. Ooooh! One from December or so. The one where Superman went a tad four-eyed. /runs to check TOC board/ Glasses by Queenie! 4. 8. Hey! 9. Edit: After reading the answers, I realized that I should have checked the sheet to confirm the author. My bad. 9. Oooooh! Didn’t Sue write a Linda King movie fic this year? And yes, I remember it because I thought, great, now *I* don’t have to get cracking at mine /goes checking excel sheet/ Hey! She wrote a two-parter. His and Hers. And Virginia chose one or the other. That is *sooooo* mean! So, first one’s Clark’s POV, second one’s Lois’s. Let’s see… This is The Whole Truth. 10. Yep. So sticking with my answer from the quotes. That was a fun one, Virginia! Of course, it also meant I didn’t have time for FDK tonight. Michael

ANSWERS: 1. “One Good Turn: A Haircut Challenge” – Tank Wilson 2. “Hurricane – Matchmaker Chronicles Vol. 1B” -- KenJ 3. “Glasses” – Mary P. Potts, aka Queen of Capes 4. “Lois Rules! – A Story” – VirginiaR. 5. “Super Polish” - Mouserocks 6. “Late Night at the Daily Planet” – Deadly Chakram 7. “The Worst April Fool’s Prank” – Lynn S.M. 8. “Lex Luthor’s Bucket List” – Marcus L. Rowland 9. “The Whole Truth” – Sue S. 10. “Ants at a Picnic” - Morgana Tank’s “One Good Turn” story appears to have been eligible back for the 2006 Kerth Awards (I checked the nominees for past 5 years, but clearly didn’t check back far enough), when the Haircut Challenge was orginally made. My apologies, as this story only made it to the Archives in January 2012, and the eligible stories list wasn’t available at the time I made this quiz. Points totals from This Quiz:Lynn: 1 point and a Shimmery Pink Star* Lonnie: 2 + 2 +1 + 2 + 1 + .5 = 8.5 points Bobbart: 2+1+1= 4 points Deadly Chakram: 2+2+2+2+2+2+1+1+1=15 Points and a Shimmery Pink Star Michael: 2+2+2+2+2+.5+1= 11.5 points** Female Hawk: 2+2+2+1 = 7 points Morgana: .75+.5+.5+1= 2.75 points (you didn’t indicate whether quotes or excerpts, so had to credit you by excerpts, and I gave you ¼ point for ALMOST getting the title of Ken’s story right) – And a Shimmery Pink Star. Mouserocks: 1+2+1+2+.5+1+.5= 8 points and a Shimmery Pink Star. Points after First QuizVirginiaR – 14 points UltraWoman – 13 points a tie for third! Deadly Chakram and Female Hawk – 8.5 points Darth Michael – 6 points IolantheAlias - 4.5 points bobbart – 2.5 points scifiJoan - 2 points Points after First TWO Quizzes:Deadly Chakram: 8.5 points + 15 points = 23.5 points Darth Michael: 6 points + 11.5 points = 17.5 points Female Hawk: 8.5 points + 7 points = 15.5 points VirginiaR: still 14 points (since I can’t earn points for quizzes I give) UltraWoman: 13 points Lonnie: 8.5 points Mouserocks: 8 points Bobbart: 2.5 points + 4 points = 6.5 points IolantheAlias: 4.5 points Morgana: 2.75 points scifiJoan - 2 points Lynn: 1 point Recommendations:Psst. Not all of these have made it to the Archives. Authors, please don’t forget to submit your stories to LabRat over at the Archives for instant eligibility for the Kerths (if posted to the Archives within in the same year)… otherwise, you’ll have to let the Kerth Committee know that you want it included. Cold Lake by Classicalla The Tooth of the Matter by Mouserocks. The Not-so-great Escape by Lynn S.M. I Saw Superman kissing Cat Grant by Lois_Lane_Fan. Bless You, Dr. Klein by bakasi. Revalations by the Lake by Dandello. And Nothing But the Truth by Sue S. (Sequel to the Whole Truth). Clark Kent 101: A Handbook by Various. Lois Lane 101: A Handbook by Various. **** * Lynn, last year I missed out on a Star because I didn’t recognize one of my stories. I promise not to send Lois out with a green studded 2x4 to give anyone who didn’t answer the quiz at all. It was just my lame attempt at humor, stess on the “lame”. <<And yes, I know ‘Garbly-gook’ is probably misspelled. For some reason, it’s not in my spellchecker. >> ** Michael, I was told that self-reference was allowed, otherwise I wouldn’t have done it, despite having written several <<cough, cough>> 8-ish <<cough>> stories that could qualify as comedies this year.

OK, here I go... S P O I L E R S P A C E From the snippets: 1. Don't know. 2. Obviously a nextgen story, but what? 3. Queen of the Capes, the one where Clark needs some vision correction. It was hilarious. 4. ? 5. ? 6. The one where Clark gets outed. But I forgot the title and author. 7. ? 8. ? 9. ? 10. ? Now for the longer excerpts: 1. I should know this but I don't. 2. ? 3. Again, Queen of the Capes story. Contact lenses don't work too well with heat vision. 4. ? 5. ? 6. ? but the excerpt is particularly funny to me right now. 7. ? which is frustrating because I know I've read this! 8. ? but is it Lex Luthor's POV? 9. Sue S., "The Whole Truth" 10. Morgana, "Ants At A Picnic"
