I stumbled across this fic and it is great.

Problem is there was only 1 chapter and it ends with Superman in a body bage shot to death by Luthor.

Searching the internet I found an L&C MB index which says the story is complete and in 4 chapters. When I go to the TOC it shows only 1 chapter.

Can't find anything but the first chapter.

Does anyone know where the other 3 parts are? Story is from 2005. Talk about a cliffhanger.

Sorry to disappoint you, Randi, but I've heard from the Index Crew, who manage the Index you found and, sadly, the four parts was an error, which they'll correct.

The story, it seems, was only ever one part, incomplete, and never completed by the author. At least on this forum.

This is one fic that needs to be resurrected.

Do authors ever come in and complete "dead" fanfics which have been left unfinished? This would be a perfect fic to finish. Maybe it could be a fanfic challenge as in how ould you complete this story. Would that be w/in the posting rules?

From the comments at the time it looks like Superman was to stay dead but the story, presumably, would answer the question would Lex be brought to justice and would it be Lois who brings him to justice.

I've written to some authors and some of them have finished the stories.

Yes, you might try Meadowrose's suggestion. Never say never! Challenging other authors to finish the story wouldn't be an option, no, unless you got the author's permission for that. I realise it is frustrating though.
