What agency (air force?) monitors Canadian airspace? If an unexpected incursion into Canadian airspace occurred, who would be in charge of dealing with it? I mean immediately, not an after-the-fact investigation. There's got to be some officer whose job is to figure out whether Canada is under attack or whether some bozo just wandered off course. (What? This isn't Bismarck? Dude, my bad!) Any leads? Thanks! This is my happily ever after.

Also the RCMP does act as your Coast guard would, they're also in charge of provincial police services. That's about all I know. Sorry. Superman: I hear you've been looking for me. The part you might care about is Quote The Canadian NORAD Region (CANR) is headquartered with the 1 Canadian Air Division in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANR executes a variety of tasks to defend Canadian airspace, including identifying and tracking all aircraft entering Canadian airspace, exercising operational command and control of all air defense forces in CANR and operations in support of other government departments and agencies. The 1 Canadian Air Division is responsible for providing CANR with combat-ready air forces to meet Canada’s commitment to the defense of North America and maintain the sovereignty of North American airspace. CANR CF-18 Hornet fighter aircraft are on continuous alert to respond to any potential aerial threat to the safety of Canada and Canadians.
