*sigh* I really, really can't find it. (I tried the search function with various combinations, plus going through the whole archive with searching for "Krypton" in the titles or descriptions. Nada.)
This story I remember reading a while back takes place on Krypton (that has never blown up) - or was it New Krypton, with Jor-El and Lara still alive. Like in the current WIP, Prince Kal has to marry Lois sight unseen, or so he thinks. However, in truth, both Lois and Kal have been sneaking into the city, pretending to be commoners, and struck up a friendship and even developed romantic feelings for each other. However, they never told each other who they really were.
On comes the wedding day, and due to some strange traditions (like wearing a full beard grown over 6 months or so for men) and fashions (wearing her formerly long hair short and dyed and in spikes on hear head), Lois and Kal don't recognize each other until they are alone in their chamber(s).
Can anybody tell me the title/author of this story?
