From the excerpts (of course):
1 I'm not off to a good start.
2 I know I read it, but I am not placing. So I'll go by titles and I'll guess, "A Lois and Clark Christmas," by Lyla Katz
3 "It's All Just Rather Funny," by El?
4 Definitely "Anniversary Surprise" by Female Hawk
5 "Moving On" by moi
6 "Prank," by Tank?
7 "I'd Know You Anywhere," by MozartMaid?
8 "Control," by Shane
9 Or maybe this one is "A Lois and Clark Christmas," by Lyla Katz?
10 And maybe this one is "I'd Know You Anywhere," by MozartMaid?
11 "Dear Ojiisama" by Mary Potts (AKA Queen of the Capes)
12 "Coming Home" by Dandello

*Sigh*. I had really thought I would do better in this category. Oh well. It was a fun quiz all the same. Thanks for writing it, Anna smile

#4 This sounds familiar. Anniversary Surprise by Female Hawk ?

#8 Wasn't that about the people from New Krypton not being able to control their powers on Earth? It was fun. I'm going to guess Control by Shayne Terry.

Time's up, FoLCs! Let's see how you guys did. wink

First of all, the answers:

1. A Lois Super Short, by Tank Wilson
2. The Volunteer, by Lois_Lane_Fan
3. That Extra Hour, by Mozartmaid
4. Anniversary Surprise, by Female Hawk
5. Moving On, by Lynn S. M.
6. Letting the Cat Out of the Bag, by Classicalla
7. It's All Just Rather Funny, by EL
8. Control, by Shayne Terry
9. All I Want (For Christmas), by Sue S.
10. Time to Tell, by Anonpip
11. Dear Ojisama, by Mary Potts
12. Coming Home, by Dandello

Now, the scores:

*First place for AntiKryptonite, with a whopping 22 points!
*Second place for VirginiaR, who gets 19 points.
*Third place for Darth Michael with 17 points.
*Then we have a tie - Female Hawk and Deadly Chakram, with 14 points each.
*Another tie for Ultra Woman and Lynn S. M., with 10 points each.
*And last but not least, scifiJoan with 4 points.

Special prizes:

*Female Hawk and Lynn S. M. get a gold star each for recognizing their own stories.
*Darth Michael gets a shiny red-and-blue "Am I the only one who reads the rules?" badge. wink

And the cumulative scores are:

*AntiKryptonite has almost disappeared from sight, leading the race with an amazing 101 Dalmatians! I mean points!
*VirginiaR has climbed to second place with her 63 points.
*Deadly Chakram has fallen a little behind with 59 points, but still holding on to the medals.
*Female Hawk keeps at close watch with her 56.5 points.
*Ultra Woman remains at fifth place with 44 points.
*Lynn S. M. is closely following with 40.5 points.
*Darth Michael leaps forward with a total of 30 points, over double his previous score!
*scifiJoan is going slowly but steadily, now at 17.5 points.
*Mouserocks didn't want to let go of the rear and as such has remained at 7.5 points.
*LnCroxmysox steadily remains at 0 points.

Finally, the recommendations! (Note: I took the liberty of not including the ones not actually eligible for this category, as some of the stories recommended were sized over 10 KB.)

*The Absent-Minded Superhero, by Lois_Lane_Fan
*The Argument that Founded Utopia, by Mary Potts
*Clark 2.0, by Lynn S.M.
*A 'Just So' Bedtime Story, by Lynn S. M.
*Lois, Phone Home by Tank Wilson
*The Kryptonian's Wife, by Shayne Terry
*Red Tape, by Shayne Terry
*Wells' Revenge, by Lynn S. M.

Also recommended was A Memo from the DP Janitorial Staff by Shayne Terry - I don't know where this story is... Shayne??

Thanks for playing, everyone. smile It was fun being part of the quizzes again!

dance Woo-Hoo! 2nd place! I'm so proud, which of course, means the Fates will step in and I'll not recognize my own stories in the next quiz and I'll drop back down to where I belong -- in the middle of the pack. blush laugh

In this case!

*Deadly Chakram is awarded a blue ribbon reading "An A for Effort!"

And I should have explained this earlier, but!

When the quizzes were posted in the Yahoo mailing list, you'd get a preview of the email when you visited the list online. So in order to avoid the answers showing up in the preview, we'd add a few lines fretting about how we did, or gloating about our last round's scores, or sharing what we had for breakfast, and in any case just babbling on to fool Yahoo. wink

So yeah, that's it. wink Now you know! Next year I will make more quizzes and will ask for obligatory Fool Yahoo lines. MWAHAHAHA!

See you around. wink
