Thanks Labby! Needed that clarified. In that case, I guess I'll go for it. Add me to the list. And thanks guys for the compliments.

(On phone, apologies for the double post. ) As for stories to add, I'd like to include 'Distraught,' 'Distraught: Alt Ending,' and 'Not Even Chocolate'.

Lois: "Clark, this is no time to discuss your obsessive-compulsive behavior." My obsessive-compulsive behavior is showing up - I have made a Microsoft Excel file of the 2011 Kerth-Eligible stories. It lists stories by author, title, and kb size. I have found it helpful to be able to view stories by each of these categories. If you would like me to send this to you via email attachment, please send me a message at IolantheAlias@gmail.com, or drop me a PM here on the boards. Continuing the obsessive theme: I have blank spaces in the spreadsheet! Could anyone please tell me the story size for the following stories: All I Want (For Christmas) by Sue S. And Then There Was Light by Anti-Kryptonite Blind (Super)Man's Bluff by ML Thompson Distraught by Mouserocks Distraught Alt Ending by Mouserocks Lethal Qualities by Anti-Kryptonite Missing Lois by Virginia R Not Even Chocolate by Mouserocks Separate by Joan Powers aka ScifiJoan Thanks.

Oh, I never thought there were. I meant to add to my earlier post that I'd used your quote for convenience, Virginia, to illustrate my point, but you certainly weren't the only source over the past couple of months that made me think some clarification was needed. There have been emails. And I'm a little sensitive when it comes to this one. For years, it was impossible to shake off the myth that your story wasn't eligible for the Kerths unless it had been uploaded to the Archive. No matter how often K-Comm and I tried to dispel it, it stuck and refused to die. Authors would flood the Archive with stories in December in a desperate, eleventh hour rush to get stories uploaded by year end. Which put a lot of pressure on the Archive staff at a time of year that's fraught with stress at the best of times. And although I've always been very proud of the fact that the staff never failed to get those stories uploaded on time or let an author down, despite it being a close call at times <g>, it's an experience I'd prefer to avoid. It's only been in the last two years or so that the myth seems to have finally been debunked. And with authors much more relaxed about the eligibility rules and timing, the December rush has almost entirely been dumped, which makes life much easier all round. So I'd really hate to the confusion over this one to start up again. For many reasons. But also because I'd hate for someone to be sitting out there thinking they're not eligible when they are. I'm currently at 4366KB (Word2003) But I'm not sure what it will be once it finally makes it through Labby capible hands. Oh, and Green-Eyed Monster, 992KB (much longer than I thought it was). PS: LabRat - I'll be sure not to make that mistake again next year and post any stories (cross my fingers) within a month of posting here. ... Be careful what you wish for. UPDATE 2/1/12: Just sent Missing Lois (as one file) to Labby for GE. It clocked in at just under of 1300 pages, 3615KB.

To quote LabRat: authors may not want a particular story in competition for various reasons and can ask for them to be removed. This is working fine for me. I completed "Nighttime in the Daytime" on these boards this year, but I want to do some cleaning up and perhaps adding to the ending before submitting it to the Archive. Unfortunately, I have not had time to do that being busy with real life to a very great extent. So I will try for next year. Several folcs have PM'd me about a sequel, and that is in the planning, but only after I'm happy with "Nighttime". So thanks for the system. It works! r/ Artemis

I was just taking a closer look at the list of eligible stories -- I am in the middle of completing the third quiz -- and I noticed a couple of missing 'r's:
Buttefly Effect, The Lynn S M 11
The first word should be "Butterfly"
Clakus Maximus Deadly Chakram 183
The first name should be "Clarkus"
Thanks, Lynn

If I'd been keeping Archive records on an old manual typewriter last year, I could have blamed that on a sticky key. As it is... LabRat BTW, just in case anyone missed it, someone emailed me to say that Anti-K's And Then There Was Light and Lethal Qualities have been added to the list. They had missed that and thought prematurely that their reading was done , so just in case anyone else out there needs to add those to their reading list...

Can someone please link me to Tank's story "Prank"? I can't find it either on the Archive or the boards.

Looks like the title might have changed at some point on Tank's, Anna. Here it is: Sometimes A Prank Can Backfire LabRat

Oh, thank you, Labby. P.S.: Classicalla, I'm not on the K-Comm, but I'll venture a guess at "not too late"!

Well, I'm going to take a chance that it's not too late and ask that both of these be added: Letting the Cat Out of the Bag and It\'s An Attitude Both are short.

It has been brought to my attention that "That Extra Hour" by mozartmaid was eligible last year. I have taken this story from the list. Tricia

Hmm... maybe too late, which is fine if it is. Can we add my story The European Adventures of Lois Lane . It hasn't hit the archives yet, though it's being beta-ed. If not, I'm fine to let it hang around until next year.
Reach for the moon, for even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars... and who knows? Maybe you'll meet Superman along the way.
