I've probably posted this before but for the life of me I cannot find that post. I am looking for a specific fanfic that I read previously.

In this fic Metropolis is putting on a Superman look-a-like contest. Somehow or another Clark is entered. He then proceeds to do what he can to make sure he looks as unlike himself as possible in order to keep his secret. Lois is assigned to help him and along the line figures out that he is Superman. She then starts to help him try to keep his secret while he still participates in the contest. In the end working together Clark and Lois are able to keep the fact that Clark is Superman a secret.

Does this sound even vaguely familiar to anyone? Help, please. Thanks.

Krissy :-D

Hi Krissy,

I remember the story. I don't remember the author but I'll try to help find it.

Happy new year!

I've read that before. I think it might be It\'s A Thing He Does At Parties by Jude Williams. Funny story!

Perry: (To Lois) Honey, this could be greatest story since Superman came to town. By-the-by, where is that husband of yours?

Hey thanks for asking this question! I have been meaning to read that story for ages!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

I like how the author not-so-subtly satirizes some public figures of the '90's, such as a bodybuilder who *cough* went on to become the governor of California *cough cough*. laugh

Just read this one myself. What a delightful and fun tale! I love how embarrassed poor Clark gets. clap

Some kind FoLC has added an epub version of the story to our epub wiki page. So if you've got an e-reader, give it a try . It's chaptered out with a table of contents and everything.

A big thanks to all our epub-converting volunteers for delivering welcome surprises over on the Archive epub page . There's always something new to rediscover.
