I just issued a challenge to try to generate something for the archive. In a week, I'll collect all submitted entries and send them to the archive. Unless you tell me otherwise, I will assume that your posting to this thread constitutes your permission to archive your entry, citing you as the author.

I have another, similar, challenge, also to try to have a group piece for the archive: An L&C Bulwer-Lytton challenge. Basically, it is this: Write the worst L&C-related opening line you can come up with. It should not just be bad; it should be awful. And it should not just be sort-of-awful. It should be breathtakingly awful.

Here's my entry for this challenge:

How blue Lois was when she ate the orange as she read the purple prose Ralph had written about the yellow-bellied Pinkos who kept their nefarious operations in the black using counterfeit greenbacks!
