Hoping someone can help me out here...

I have two fics in my head that I can't remember the titles of, and I would very much like to read them again.

The first is one where Lois is killed in a car crash, I think the car (jeep?) is crushed by boulders. She has her two daughters in the car and possibly a female friend. Clark finds them and something happens (to do with lightning?) which starts her body to regenerate or something. I seem to remember their two girls having the beginnings of super powers. They were on their way to a cabin or something for the weekend with a couple who knew their secret.

The second involves a possibly super-powered Lex who uses Lois as bait to lure Superman. When Superman arrives Lex wants to fight him to the death (I think). Of course Lex doesn't win!

Any ideas?

I've read the first story and you have the facts as I remember them. Good story. I know I saved it on my hard drive at home but I won't be there until the weekend.

The bad thing about the Google search--it doesn't find most of the stories I look for. The good thing is that people with better memories than mine tend to help.

Found the first one... East of the Garden. Still puzlling over the second one.

I imagine the first one is Luck and Consequences by bobbart. It took me some time to remember the title.

The second one I don't know, but I would like very much to read. I hope somebody remember it.

I wonder if the second fic might be Wendy Richards' "When Lightning Strikes Twice" .

The first one is definitely not Luck and Consequences. That has the Jeep being blown up not being crushed by boulders.
