This thread is for those of us who keep compulsively refreshing the Fanfic folder in hopes of finding a new chapter of Female Hawk's "Trusting Me, Trusting You". Corrina's posting schedule is a completely reasonable (and generous, given the complexity of the story) every 3-4 days, but anyone who has been following this story from the beginning knows that this isn't nearly often enough. I figured starting a thread here would give us all an outlet between chapters. So next time you come to the boards every hour in hopes of finding another chapter, and lament the fact there is nothing new to read, post here and tell us about it. That way, we'll always be able to read something new here while we wait. Hi, I'm Kathy, and I'm a TMTY-aholic!

Huh, yeah... It's been a while since we had one of those Umm... I'm Michael, and I understand that it is PC to say I understand that the waiting between parts is understandable and necessary. PS: PPS:

Wow I am not the only one. I was feeling pathetic! I am addicted to Female hawks writing. This story is unbelievable, it has the capability of being the highlight of my day. I do a happy dance when she posts. I am frustrated while waiting and I check the boards at least 3 x a day. Pathetic! I am also frustrated by their slow slow intimacy. I know I know they all need to heal blah blah blah. Darn it! I want some action! You would think being intimate would help them heal some of their emotional woes and physical needs. Sheesh! They are in love and need each other. I almost want to go on strike! But I really really love this story. I was afraid of it at the beginning and now it is one of my all time favorites. I am a greedy little bugger! I want more more more! Ok now that I went of on a rant I feel a little better thanks for giving us a place to let off steam

We need buttons or something. Make that Holy-Freakin'-Cow! I miss CC, too. Hi. I'm a semi-lurker and I'm addicted to TMTY. I don't always get around to posting FDK, but I'm refreshing the mbs too often for my own good. Is it Thursday yet? Are we getting a post on Thursday? What time is it in Australia, anyway? Ack! It'll probably be Friday before the next part. I don't think I'm going to make it.

Ahhh ... Thank you I'm Corrina, and I'm addicted, too. That's why this story rarely leaves my mind. That's why sometimes, I stay up late, thumping away at my keyboard. That's why I feel when I know where I want to get to, but the way isn't clear and when I fear it's all falling apart. It has taken a lot longer than I anticipated to get back into the swing of TMTY after the ficathon break. It was as if I lost it somewhere. Laura - I hear you. Lois and Clark got romantically close in the cell, but it was never going to be sustainable. Other things needed to be put in place first. And that takes time. I have two choices now. I could allow them to get close, kiss, be a couple in every sense of the word, and finish the series with Trail. But I really want to write Story 4. And if I let them sort out all of their issues now, I won't have a story - or if I have a story, it will be flaky and repetitive. I really, really don't want to write a good story and finish with a weak ending. I hope that by the time we get to Story 4, you'll understand the need for the current frustrations. Anyway, thanks for letting me peek into your group I can tell you that I'm writing 23. I have about 1000 words written and the rest plotted. As soon as it is ready and goes to my amazing BRs, I'll post part 16. THANK YOU all so much for your interest and your encouragement Corrina.

Clearly I've been spending too much time on Facebook, because I wanted to "like" Corrina's response. Personally, I'm not twitching to have L&C get intimate in TMTY. I'm not saying I won't welcome it when it comes -- I absolutely will -- but I don't feel like the story is artificially putting up roadblocks or that it's taking too long to get them there. It feels very natural to me, especially since they've really only known each other a short time and they are both so traumatized by what they've gone through. To me, the story is about primarily about their emotional healing, and if they jumped into bed together (or even had some hot make out scenes), it just wouldn't feel in character for me. (Yet. This is not to say that in story 4, or whenever the plot takes them there, I don't want to see anything less than major WAFF and hopefully some steam. ) So I say keep doing what you're doing. There have been very few chapters that have felt like filler to me, and especially recently, the action has really been ramping up and I feel like significant progress is being made. (Even if it's killing me that I can't burrow into your hard drive and devour everything you've written so far. ) Kathy

Hi. I'm Pat and I'm a TMTY junkie. I'd sell it on the street corner if it would mean that I'd get to the later installments faster. Corrina, I love the bends and twists in your mind. You make reading one of your stories a necessity of life. Thank you so much for not catering to our requests, but keeping to the ideas of your own mind. You are one in a million.

Hi, I am DW and also a TMTY-junkie. Only found the support group now - it really is a wonderful idea and makes me feel a WHOLE lot better knowing that I am not the only one whose refresh button is in danger of not working anymore. And it really is pathetic that I check the boards very regularly each and every day, knowing that I have other stuff that needs to get done, but nonetheless, here I am, again, checking to see if Corrina has magically decided to post ... uhm ... the rest of the story, including the part still to be written. A mind reader, even over long distances, would at times like these really be wonderful. I also really want story 4 - really don't want to see this end - what would I do with all my time then? - even though, at times, I wish it would move a little quicker, but only because I always want the next installment after the one that was just posted! Anyway, I feel better now!

Oh yes definitely I want a 4 and a 5 and a 6 and I don't ever want the slow but wonderful torture to end. As much as I would like them to kiss already, I do understand where you have them right now. Don't change a thing on my account! I can dream...

Would it help if I posted updates between parts? eg - 22 and 23 finally felt 'right' as I wrote them, but all that did was seriously worry me about 17-21 because I was writing 17 when I took the break for the ficathon. So last night, instead of writing 24, I did another major edit. Thankfully, it's not as bad as I feared. However, I only have about 50 words of 24 written, and I already know I'm going to scrap them and start again. But I do have the part plotted in my head, so I shouldn't spend too much time staring a blank screen before the words begin to flow. The upshot is that the absolute best case for getting 24 to my BRs (and therefore, posting 17 and assuming I don't read it and be totally Corrina.

It helps, it helps! Of course, it might not help you to have this thread here, knowing that you're solely responsible for the mental health of all your readers, that our happiness lives and dies with each new chapter and how long it takes you to get enough words down on the screen to ... er, I mean, um ... no pressure, Corrina! No pressure at all! Carry on as usual! Kathy

Happy Anniversary, Laura. And thanks for the kiss for my muse. It must have inspired him - yesterday I finished 24, got the whole of 25 written and started 26. Thanks!
And Pat - hi! I'm so glad you're still reading. I remember after I posted the Prologue, you said some really nice things about how you figured this story might turn out something other than a torture-fest. I hope you haven't been disappointed.
I'll edit 25 a couple of times, send it to the BRs, and then post 18.
Corrina.

Update - I'm really enjoying the parts I'm writing now. 26 is finished. I should edit it and send it to the BRs, but I'm too eager to write 27. I have a big weekend (footy season starts ), so the plan is to post 19 on Friday evening and 20 early next week. Latest estimate is Trail will be 30 parts. Story 4 is called 'Highway'. Back to T27! Corrina. (All times are Australian EDST )

the plan is to post 19 on Friday evening My brain just jumped on the hamster wheel and started thinking, "OK, so Friday evening ... that means Friday morning my time ... it's only Thursday morning ... 24 hours ... I can do it ... just be patient ... arrrrgh!" It's a very, very good sign when a writer is so into a story that she doesn't even want to send a finished chapter off to her BR. Yippee! Glad it's flowing well for you. And now we have a title for the next story. Woo hoo! Kathy

I just returned from taking care of my 9 year old granddaughter at the beach. We both got sunburned and worn out so we slept each night. But, I didn't take a computer so when I returned yesterday I had 3 parts to read! I cannot recommend doing it in a lump, because there is such a void left when you get to the end of it. I sit here re-reading all the FDK hoping someone would give me a new idea so I could use my imagination for a while until the next installment comes out.
Corrina, you have taken us to the New Krypton planet, taught us about footy, and now you have us living in the world that Trask built. There were so many others before those that consumed our days, but each stands alone.

Thanks, Kathy. You're right, sometimes it feels so good to tell someone ... " my mind and screen are blank how am I going to get them out of this mess? I know exactly where I'm going, but I have no idea how to get there I've started posting this story As for Highway ... I'm still half asleep right now, despite it being after 8:30am. The reason? I didn't get to bed until nearly 2am because Highway Part 1 was flying off my fingers and onto the screen. Assuming I can function at a high enough level to get my son to school, I'll come back here and check over Trail 21 and post (although what I really want to do is find out if what I wrote last night makes any sense at all ) Thanks for your interest, everyone. I'm really stoked by the reaction to Junction, Bridge, and Trail. I'm not sure how the readers will feel, but I already know that Highway will be my favourite of the four. See you after a couple of cups of coffee!! Corrina.

Woohoo to the story flying off your fingers. As far as I'm concerned each chapter of TMTY gets better and better so I will not be surprised when Highway is my fave of the four.
Enjoy your coffee! Hopefully by the time the kids are in bed, there will be another part to read. Yay!

Loved the arm rub, for a minute I thought she was going to straddle him and give him a coronary. I think the kiss should come soon after all this rubbing. I am thinking that he will choose rubbing her rather then her rubbing his chest. He will be so exposed that way. There is no place to hide his front happenings if she gives him a chest rub. But if she is turned around so she can't see the effect he has a better shot at keeping his cool. Will she tell him it is perfectly normal and Ok that he get turned on so he doesn't feel too much guilt about it? As usual, I can't wait for more. Laura

I've been wondering that, too, Laura, how eventually they will need to have the conversation where she assures him that a physical reaction is not only OK but, in fact, normal and desirable. I don't think Corrina writes nfic (Sob! ), but this certainly is one of those scenes that could slide very easily into that category, LOL. But especially given that things need to move really slowly to help Clark get over his past, I'm loving the slow seduction in these chapters, both physical and emotional. Corrina, you are amazing! *clutches at my heart and staggers backwards* Really??? I'm not finding anything when I search in the nfic TOC folder. We probably don't want a direct link in this folder, but if you could give me a little hint to point me in the right direction -- maybe a general date it was posted or PM me a link? -- I'd sure appreciate it! Clearly I need to pay better attention to these things. Kathy

Laura - 'front happenings' is absolutely And thanks for explaining what I felt had to be left out of the fic - you nailed Clark's dilemma perfectly. As for nfic - Michael's right, I do write it occasionally (only occasionally because it's so difficult to write well) and there wasn't an nfic part to AMH (actually, there's an unfinished fic on my hard drive called 'In the Cave', which goes into explicits regarding the 'wedding night'. I don't know if I'll ever finish it.) 'So Many Questions' and 'Aussie Rules' have nfic chapters. And ... I'm hesitant to say this because whenever I finish a fic, Goo tends to throw something new at me, but my current intention is, after TMTY is finished, to get back to a five-parts-written-and-betaed fic which carries a rating that makes it inappropriate for this board TMTY update - Highway 2 has gone to the betas, I'm working on Highway 3. Thanks Corrina.

I pass an icebag to Corrina to put on her head. When in doubt add a little loving to fill in until your muse gets back on track. We won't mind at all!!!! Pat

LOL, Pat. Actually, the problem with 4 was that I somehow got off track. I had already done what you suggested - added in a little love - and now it's much more like what I had originally planned. Anyway, I'm giving up on 4 for now. I had told my BR, Lynn, that I would get Part 4 to her this weekend, but it's not going to happen. (sorry, Lynn!) Instead, I'm going back to T25 to see if it's ready to post. Thanks so much for the icebag Corrina.

I had purposely remained a lurker on this thread, since I had had a feeling that I wouldn't be getting too much sympathy from the rest of the group if I pined for more when I have already had the pleasure of reading several parts ahead of most on the list. But since Corrina mentioned me: Hi! My name is Lynn, and I'm a TMTYaholic! The angel on my one shoulder is telling me to tell you to take your time and take it easy. Fanfic writing should be fun and not be a cause for stress. The devil on my other shoulder, however, wants to pile on the pressure. Is H4 written yet? No? How about now? Not yet? ... Now? Seriously, though, much as I would love to see H4 in my mailbox, I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that we'd rather you took the time you need to write and re-write the story until it proves satisfactory to you. If we had to choose (XOR, for the computer geeks here) between speed and quality, I'm sure we'd all prefer quality. You have set the bar exceedingly high for yourself by showing that you can often produce quality writing quickly; sometimes it is easy for us readers to take it for granted that that will always be the case. Such an expectation, as unrealistic as it is, does reflect positively on your ability to come through so often. And just to tie what I am writing in to our favourite show, this is like all the Metropolitans just naturally assuming that Superman will beat the bad guys every time. Joy, Lynn

I do agree that quality before quantity is much better! (and that Corrina should take her time writing, re-writing, and whatever and be happy before send it the BRs and posting it here). It is just sad that not all of me agrees with that but I do understand (in theory)!

LOL Michael, ditto!! I am also an addict to this story and I can't help but be totally frustrated by not being able to continue reading the next part. It is my problem not Corrina's. She should take all the time she needs. Even if I become a whiny baby because I have to wait.

Remember ? I *finally* found the problem in Part 4 - there was a missing scene in Part 2! *That's* why I keep a buffer. Thanks for the spiders, Michael. Perhaps they helped A question for you all - would you like the final three parts of Trail reasonably quickly, then a longer break between T29 and H1? Or would you like the current 2-3 day schedule to continue? Corrina.

That might depend on the cliffhanger at the end of T29. LOL I would like the current schedule of 2-3 days between parts as I suspect the bigger gap between T29 and H1 might be a harrowing wait! Cheers Elizabeth

Ditto, Elizabeth! Since I am anticipating the mother of all cliffhangers at the end of Trail , I'm going to vote for delayed gratification and a regular posting schedule for the beginning of Highway. Even if the waiting during those 2-3 days kills me. Kathy

Corrina is going to leave us in a leaky boat miles from shore without a paddle at the end of 29! If she is going to leave us with a good kiss, we won't need food or water to survive. But, if she holds to her usual crumbs, I vote we take it slowly to get to 29 and keep the same schedule up so that the withdrawl of life-sustaining materials won't hurt quite as bad. I, personally, am not able to wait indefinitely for another dose. My tolerance has been completely shattered. I have worn a hole in my "check for another story" button.

Oh, I think we have have a hole in "check for next story, or rather "check for next part of story" button! I also agree for the slow build-up to part 29 since I am also expecting the mother of all cliffhangers for P29. I don't think it would be a good idea to have a long wait between P29 and Highway P1 as our patience would be shot to hell if there is that huge, enormous, gigantic cliffhanger.

I'm with angelsgmaw: if we're going to get a kiss that will help us live through the wait, I'd say go ahead and post Trail as fast as possible . If there's going to be a big, ol' cliffhanger with no fun whatsoever, then... what the heck, just bring it on . I can live with waiting a little longer for Highway 1

I also don't think we have ever been this excited to see Nightfall before either! The last chapter was pretty great! And I think everyone would like to sign up as beta reader just to be able to read ahead!!! If Corrina agrees, I am sure no one will complain and will happily add their "invaluable input" :p

This morning I had somewhere to be before 9 am, but I decided to see if there was a possibility that Corrina had put #1 of the road on line. When I found it, of course I couldn't just leave without sitting down and reading the whole thing. So...I was 15 minutes late to meet with the women instead of being one of the first to arrive. One of the girls looked at me and asked if I was reading fanfic. When I said yes, she said she bet it was Superman. (My guilty sins are not a secret!)
Thanks Corrina! This story was worth all 15 minutes it took me to get my fill.
My name is Pat, and I am trying to quit being addicted to TMTY, but it is almost impossible.

Hi Pat I am Laura, welcome to TYTM anonymous. I am starting a twelve chapt er I mean step program this week.
Step one: Avoid the computer! It is too risky to tempt fate.
Step two: Once you have failed step one, go directly to e mail, do not pass go, do not go to the fanfic link.
Step Three: Once you have failed step two and peeked into the fanfic folder, do NOT open Corrina's story.
Step four: So you peeked and now you are having withdrawal because Corrina didn't post yet. LEAVE THE COMPUTER! Do not continually check the fanfic folder.
Step Five: Stop banging your head on the desk and move to step 6.
Step six: Have a meal, hug your son, stay away from the computer!
Step seven: Do not ignore the needs of your family or your job to read Corrina's story just because she finally posted.
Step eight. Once the elation of reading Corrina's story has past and need and want sets in, do not fill your face with food to fill the gap until she posts again.
Step nine: Stop biting your nails or any other disgusting habit you may have picked up since reading TMTY. Try not to concentrate on HIGHWAY
Step ten: Stop chanting and meditating the phrase: "Corrina will post the next chapter" Corrina will post the next chapter"
Step eleven: Continue not to keep looking in the fanfic folder for HIGHWAY.
Step tweleve: Rinse and repeat all 12 steps...

The only thing that works is if I am not anywhere near a computer that day. But then the next morning, guess where I go as soon as possible? The fanfic folder! Sad and pathetic really (all Corrina's fault too :p )

Bringing this to the top. It looks like the kiss is coming soon. Who wants to take bets on how many chapters Corrina will hold off on it for? It seems like it should be in the next chapter but I don't think I should get my hopes up. I say 2. Laura

I also don't think we should get our hopes up, because then we'll be even more disappointment once the kiss somehow magically doesn't appear in the next few parts. I do hope it is soon though! I think this is the longest we have ever had to wait and is so anxious for it to happen!

And, yes, Corrina has teased us with "the kiss" for longer than you did, but her Clark came from a dark place. You were teasing us for a different reason. I definitely see a more traditional date coming, with the customary kiss at the end. Unless he tries to shave and freaks out about the super powers before the evening arrives. I could totally see Corrina torturin... erm, taking that route. But I hope not. Unfettered, amnesiac Clark is definitely more sexy. Ack! She only posted yesterday. Do you think she'll post early again? B

Ack! She only posted yesterday. Do you think she'll post early again? Unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely: On Tuesday afternoon, I'll be at the Hawks/Geelong game, and then I have rather extensive plans to (hopefully) celebrate - meaning I will be away from my computer for at least 24 hours. No celebrating tonight, though. Hawks/Geelong game

I agree with Michael about BRing not being the answer. The only answer is to have her write the whole thing, start to finish, and then publishing it in about 3 pieces at most. (My tolerance for delays is not long.) Or, maybe we can figure a way to mainline this story by attaching ourselves to Corrina. She needs about 50 or 80 people attached to her as she goes to the store or just to the park with her children. (Not a threat, Corrina, but a gentle hint that we need another dose of this story. It could get ugly if we are denied for too long.)
Pat <bg>
Because I sound completely crazy, I swear I'm going to the library on Monday morning and getting myself something else to read. No one needs to be that close to insanity just because she has to wait for a great story to develop. PROMISE!

The only answer is to have her write the whole thing, start to finish, and then publishing it in about 3 pieces at most. I *used* to do that! At least, I used to have the entire story written before posting Part 1. However, that was before my stories got so looooooong! AR was 68 parts. TMTY is 71 parts and it's still not finished! /nervous cough, eyes darting left and right/ I'm going away. And my computer isn't coming with me. For anyone who is still talking to me - it will only be for three days. Hawthorn play in Adelaide next weekend, and it's my wedding anniversary. What can I say? I'll *try* to post 2 parts before I leave - which according to Michael in the FDK thread should just about get you to the start of the date! Corrina.

Happy Anniversary!!! We'll still talk to you once you get back AR was 68 parts. TMTY is 71 parts and it's still not finished! I think that you should aim for a 100 parts which is very possible since no one wants to see this end (except for maybe you?)

Goo has been threatening a mutiny, but we came to a truce, and now we're back on the Highway again. I'll post the next part tomorrow - probably mid-late morning. Thanks for your patience. Corrina.

Corrina, May I correct two things you said in your post?
One is that we are all way past "patience." Most of us have been going through the DTs for a few days now.
The other thing is that you have proved that you cannot be good to Goo and take her on an anniversary trip, because she will sit back and expect to have the royal treatment all the time. You need to keep her nose to the grindstone all the time so that she doesn't get lazy (and doesn't keep grinding out those stories that we love so much.)
Glad you are back. I am breathing much better now.

Thank you for posting Monday night! I loved it and of course want more immediately. But really I am glad you had some time for yourself and your husband. I hope it helps you write an nfic section LOL!!

Pat - I loved your post, but may I correct one thing - Goo is male! I'm not sure why, but it's probably got to do with the fact that for much of the past five years, I've lived as the only female in a house with five men (husband and four sons.) Laura - Thank you for posting Monday night! It was Tuesday for me!! Corrina.

Goo is male, huh? That is going to take some disgesting to understand. You write love scenes so well, so female, that maybe Goo is not necessary for those scenes. Maybe all we really need for a waffy story is Corrina. (Just in case I'm wrong, I love you Goo.) Pat

Today is Game Day (Hawks vs St Kilda) so not much writing/posting today. I'm trying to rebuild my buffer, but another part went to the BRs overnight.
Soooo - in answer to your question, Laura, most likely Monday morning for me, Sunday evening for those in the US, and somewhere in between for the rest of you (except Elizabeth!)
Corrina.

I am hooked. This last part was amazing but it was also a tease. I vote for an nfic part! Anyone with me!

When I beta'd the part, I put in a strong request to Corrina for an nfic part. The fic just calls out for one. And she's such a poetic and wonderful writer, I know that the nfic part would be great.
Heck, the gfic seduction scene was hot hot hot! Somehow she managed to keep it PG-13. I've read more boring X-rated scenes in romance novels. Corrina got me all hot and bothered while still keeping strictly within the bounds of the boards.

I agree Corrina has a gift with writing nfic. She is gifted all around with her words but there are writers who write great fiction but don't do nfic well. Corrina does both with skill and class. She knows how to do romantic and sexy without going over the top into graphic and raunchy. I am glad you pleaded with her. Maybe if enough of us do that she will cave in to the request. Not that this fiction could not survive without it. It is wonderful the way it is. I think nfic would only add to it, the icing on the cake, so to speak. I am looking forward to another fix on Monday, Tuesday in Australia!

Goo has a very bad habit. Whenever we turn the final bend and the finishing line is directly ahead - but still a few thousand words away - he gets terribly distracted. He wants to re-visit fics that have sat dormant on my hard drive for months. He wants to re-read FDK. He wants to beta. He wants to do *anything* other than actually finish the darn story We are right there now. I can see the end - actually the final scene is written, I just have to get to it. But Goo's not interested in the TMTY finish line. He's much more interested in writing a scene for another fic where Superman dances with Lois. So what does that have to do with your chances of getting another part tonight? Here's the plan. After I've fed my family, I'll go back to Part 12 and see if I'm happy with it. If I am, I'll post it. If I'm not, I'll go back to the final chapters and try to drive Goo to that finish line. Once it's written, the editing is easy - even with a distracted muse! Thanks for your interest! Corrina.

Looking forward to whatever goo spits out! Dancing with Superman huh? Sounds like a nice idea. Also looking forward to the rest of this story. G'night Goo, pleasant dreams. I hope you are bright and bushy tailed in the morning. Kiss your muse for me.

Thanks, Elizabeth. Michael - Goo and I have agreed there will be no more loooooooong stories for at least a few weeks. I *think* I know what will be the next 25+ part story. I have 5 parts already written. However, before I even open up that file, I want to work on a 2-parter called 'Asking Lois Out' and an 8-10 parter called 'Two Days Together'. (Note the title - two days - two! That means it can't grow and grow and grow.) Thanks, DW - I just posted the next part. Phew. It's written. Still needs to be edited and the final couple of parts betaed, but it's written. Corrina.

First off: I noticed the teeny tiny 24 hour lapse between #15 and #16 so: And I take it as a projected posting schedule Originally posted by Female Hawk: However, before I even open up that file, I want to work on a 2-parter called 'Asking Lois Out' and an 8-10 parter called 'Two Days Together'.
(Note the title - two days - two! That means it can't grow and grow and grow.) Well... not to scare Goo, but is he aware that while it took Clark only 2-3 Episodes from getting to know Lois to asking her out, it took them more than a year before she actually agreed? But then, you did only say *asking* her out, not her *agreeing*. As for the two days. One can easily cram 20-40 parts into a two day story if one is motivated enough Michael

It is my suggestion to all who are in this support group that we all take double the usual dosage of anti-craving meds and learn to sit in a chair and keep our hands off the computer. If we turn the computer on, we must clear all our incoming mail, read all the current facebook, read every story published on the boards, and then if we are still craving a Corrina story, we go back to the short stories she wrote and re-read them 3 times each before we take on a new Corrina story. I NEVER want to be this addicted again! (Unless Corrina has a new story on next week.)

A warm and fuzzy ending to an amazing saga. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself now that it's over! Corrina has earned a break from writing ... but I sure hope she has something simmering already because I'm going to be in withdrawal until she posts again. Kathy

Some habits are easier to break than others. This one is man-of-steel hard to leave. Having said that, I want to confess that I have re-read the whole thing. It took forever...the best forever I've had in a long time. We know that Corrina is a wonderful writer, but I think unless you re-read this one, you miss the richness of the complex nature of this story. I had forgotten how broken Lois was and how hard she fought to keep her outer-layer hiding the true nature of her brokeness. We miss that Clark, true to his canon nature, had a soft core that was selfless and would do anything for those he loved. And the reserves both of them had to dip into and say the right thing when they needed to do it is not obvious unless you sit for hours of days and soak this one into your system. We wanted a happy-ever-after, but to get there was a lot of logical work on Corrina's part.
Corrina, this was a true masterpiece. I have begun to wean myself by pulling out some of my favorite stories from years ago. I want to stop and roost here, but I need to get a life and break a few bad habits. Thank you so much for not taking the easy path and putting together a short & sweet story. This one ended where we wanted it to, but the path you took guided us to so many places we were not expecting, but needed to visit.
