First again! S P O I L E R S P A C E Ok from the quotes... 1. Next Day: A Not so Merry Christmas, Tank 2. No idea 3. Feel like it should be familiar, but nothing's coming to me... 4. The Pursuit of Pleasure, Beth Summerson 8. Hmmm... missed this one, I think 9. Definitely a Tank story, lol. But which?? I think I read it too! 10. Nope, didn't read this one... Well, that was a bum round for me! /goes off to sulk/
Reach for the moon, for even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars... and who knows? Maybe you'll meet Superman along the way.

Now will you look at that… A new Kerth! quiz B E S T S H O R T S T O R Y Spoiler space for today’s active topics. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Integer pellentesque metus nec arcu imperdiet sit amet laoreet augue egestas. Etiam vestibulum semper blandit. Quotes: 1. Re-reading helps! Just A Little Help From… Dandello 2. Ooo-kay. 3. Hmm… I sounds like something I’ve read. Probably recently re-read. 4. Aaaaah! Corrina’s SLaVT adaption, titled… /goes looking/ The Press Conference. Well, duh! What else would you call it? 5. Sounds fun. Unfortunately, it does not sound recognizably familiar 10. Hmm… Queenie’s April Fools fic? Hmm… or not Excerpts: 2. 6. Hehehehehehe! The First Fanfic by … Lynn 8. Still knowing this story… Lois is investigating Clark. Still not much help, though. 10. *sigh* Well, it was fun. But I’m really scared to even think about tallying my answers. But at least I managed not to miss my own story Michael

My turn. :-) B E S T S H O R T S T O R Y This time I decided to look at the list of eligible stories while completing this quiz. From quotes alone: 1 Sounds vaguely familiar. No guesses, though. 2 I thought it might be "Claimed in the Congo" by MozartMaid, but that is too long for this category, so --- "Wasted Revelations" by BJ? 3 Sigh. ??? 4 "The Press Conference" by Female Hawk? 5 Maybe "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by HappyGirl? 6 Ooh! Ooh! I know this one! "The First Fanfic" by Lynn S. M. (AKA moi!) 7 "The Pursuit of Pleasure" by Beth Summerson, I think 8 The sounds like HappyGirl's The Man Under the Suit, but that story would be too long for this category. So??? 9 "Eye in the Sky" by Saori Tanaka 10 "Clark Gets Some Visitors," by Tank Wilson Now for the excerpts: 1 Oh, I remember this one -- It was the one where pre-Superman Clark saves Lois in the Congo. The one with Batman in it. Now, who was the author and what was the title??? Argh! 2 I think I've got it now. "Wanna Neck?" by BJ. 3 Still no clue. 4 Definitely "The Press Conference" by Female Hawk 5 My guess above was definitely wrong. Don't know the correct answer, though. I seem to recall that the situation was from an adaptation of IGaCoY 6 Still "The First Fanfic" by me 7 I'm firmer now in saying "The Pursuit of Pleasure" by Beth Summerson 8 I remember this story, now. Lois had travelled to Smallville early in S1 to get the full scoop before she wrote her Pulitzer-winning "CK=S". I'm horrible with titles, though. Would it be "The Smallville Connection" by Dandello? 9 The excerpt doesn't help me at all, so I'll stick with my first guess "Eye in the Sky" by Saori Tanaka 10 "Clark Gets Some Visitors" by Tank Wilson Well, I at least have more guesses than with the last quiz. Not sure how many of them are right. Thanks for assembling the quiz, Amberlea! Joy, Lynn

Not expecting much here... have been behind on my reading...And I'll start by saying that I needed both sets of clues to make any of these guesses. And note they are guesses!

1. For some reason I remember the poignancy of the Lincoln logs, but I forgot everything else about the story. Hmm... since it's Christmas, could it be Tank Wilson's "the Next Day: A Not-So-Merry Christmas"?
2. The sheer hotness of BJ's "Wanna Neck"?
3. Guessing.... "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by HappyGirl?
4. "The Press Conference" by Female Hawk?
5. "Different Directions" by LaraMoon?
6. Uhhh....
7. "The Pursuit of Pleasure" by Beth Summerson?
8. "Lois Lane Meets Superman" by Bobbart?
9. Umm...
10. Alas, should know, but I don't!

Well, I'll give it a try. Many were familiar but finding the titles and authors was necessary sometimes. Here goes: B E S T S H O R T S T O R Y Quote #1: "He asked me to wish you a Merry Christmas and he hoped his gift would make it that much merrier," the manager added. Nope, not from this.Quote #2: "Lois Lane, I presume?" Unh, unh. Too short, too common.Quote #3: "I'm a big girl, Clark. I can handle it. Besides it will be fun, and it will help us get to understand each other better. Please!" Oh, yeah! Double Diaries: The Journals of Lois and Clark by Barb BeverlyQuote #4: "Not at all," Clark said. "Both my wife and I firmly believe in the fidelity of marriage." nopeQuote #5: Lois cocked her head to the side, frowning. "You know, I think it's the first time I've ever kissed a guy only to have him complain about it afterwards..." nopeQuote #6: To paraphrase Rick: Forget about Paris. You'll always have Detroit! The First Fanfic By Lynn S. M.Quote #7: "You know, Asabi, I quite like this new tailor," Lex commented idly as he strolled back to his study. The Pursuit of Pleasure by Beth Summerson Quote #8: "Now, if you are interested in learning more about Clark Kent, I'm happy to help you. If you want to learn more about Superman… well, as you said, you've spent more time with him than I have. I think you'll find, though, that all you don't know about Superman is Clark Kent." nopeQuote #9: "'Cause I'm not goin' to explain to the Colonel why I didn't take guardin' the artifacts seriously." Nope Quote #10: "As for how long I've known Clark? Really, just since the League has been in existence." Diana continued. "I'd only heard of him before then." Oh Yeah! Too funny! Clark Gets Some Visitors by Tank[i] ======== Excerpt #1: [i] Got it! Just a Little Help From...By DandelloExcerpt #2: Oh Yeah! Wanna Neck? By BJExcerpt #3: No, but it sounds good. "The only time I've felt uncomfortable with Clark was this morning when he answered his door wet and wrapped only in a towel. Another "professional" moment for Lois Lane." Excerpt #4: Lois glanced at him, marvelling that he had even managed to cultivate an uneasy blush across his cheeks. And his expression was perfect -- the man who'd had what he'd thought was a good idea, only to discover it really wasn't such a good idea after all. Still no.Excerpt #5: Different Directions by LaraMoonThat's all folcs. Great stories, though. Artemis

To answer the Kerth quiz, or not to answer. That is the question. Well, my ego isn't feeling too bruised, now that I have doubled my previous score, so what the hey. B E S T S H O R T S T O R Y 1. Hmm. Sounds familiar by the quote. Ack! I know I read that excerpt before, but I can't place it. 2. That quote looks suspiciously like something I wrote once... it must be mine. "Wanna Neck" by moi. 3. Ooh, I know I read this one. No clue, though. 4. Aha! That's one of Female Hawk's stories. "Press Conference." 5. Ha! The quote sounds funny, but I don't have a clue as to who or what title, though. 6. Definitely read it. Was it one of Dandello's stories? Maybe "A little help..." 7. <sigh> I read this one, too. Was it by Lynn? 8. 9. Grrr. Don't remember it from the quotes, but the hair reference makes me want to guess it's one of Tank's stories. 10. I read this one, too. Not that it helps me remember the author. Well, at least I'm fairly confident on my own story again. I'm going to go read all your other responses now so that I can see the authors and/or titles of the other 8-9 stories on the quiz. B

Let’s see if I can add to my running tally by having a go at this one, but I’m not holding out much hope. B E S T S H O R T S T O R Y Quote #1: ? Quote #2: Oh, that’s not a lot to go on! Quote #3: ? Quote #4: Familiar... Quote #5: He he! Quote #6: ? Quote #7: ? Quote #8: ? Quote #9: ? Quote #10: ? S P O I L E R S P A C E Excerpt #1: Dunno Excerpt #2: Wanna Neck by BJ? Excerpt #3: ? Excerpt #4: ? Excerpt #5: ? Excerpt #6: ? Excerpt #7: ? Excerpt #8: ? Excerpt #9: ? Excerpt #10: ? Oh, this is really going to change my running tally, isn’t it? Maybe I should aim for lowest score! Still, at least I tried this time, even if I failed spectacularly!
