I could swear someone once wrote a fic where some widowed guy found superman in his yard and took care of him.

Later he overhears him talking to his wife on the phone and realizes that if superman can have a wife, maybe he can start to heal from his own wife's death.

Anybody???

Sounds like "The Good Samaritan" by Aria, a beautiful, well written story.

Yes, it was "Good Samaritan" by Aria.

It's not surprising that you should remember it months or years later - it's an excellent fic.

Hey, Aria, because of this thread, I just read your Good Samaritan story, which I somehow missed when it originally went to the archive. Excellent job! It is certainly deserving of its Kerth. I also read your Waking a Miracle, which was also very well done, and now I only have one question. Why aren't you writing more L&C fanfic?

Sheilah, thank you so much! I still read here and check the boards, but I've sort of hopped fandoms on the writing front. *guilty look* I've been writing MerDer fic for Grey's Anatomy since about 2006. In addition to a bunch of short stories, I wrote a huge 500k word S3 epic in 2007. I'm currently working on a new project/epic/whatever that I started in May called All Along The Watchtower, which follows S6. Maybe one of these days after I finish AATW, inspiration will hit me, and I'll wander back to L&C, but for now, I have no idea how I'd fit even more writing onto my plate smile
