A huge "THANK YOU!" to everyone who helped pull off this year's awards - KComm, the presenters, and the tech-wizards working behind the scenes. I had an absolute blast hanging out with everyone last night. We really should all get together more often. Congratulations to all the nominees and the winners! Congratulations to all those who stories were singled out for this addtional appreciation.
Still, I feel the real winners are all us gentle readers who have been treated to such a high degree of storytelling for so many years now.
I'm not someone who samples a lot of other fandoms but it has been my impression that no other group is as lucky as we are to have the overall level of quality and skill in the writing of fanfiction as we do.
Congratulations to us all, and a heartfelt thanks to all the gentle writers who supply us with so many great fics to read whether they be honored with Kerth recognition or not.

I had places to go and people to see right after the Kerths, so this is the first time I've had a chance to get back here.
Thanks to everyone who liked my story enough to vote for the original characters in it. I appreciate it. Creating believable characters is a lot harder than it looks, and it's nice that the readers seem to know that.
Kudos to the great people who were able to put together such an enjoyable event. The Kerths are something I suspect a lot of people look forward to every year. I know I do, and I had a wonderful time.
