I remember even less about this one than the one I previously asked for, so be warned!
It's an alt universe fic and the few things I remember are it was Tempus who killed Clark's parents when he was 10 (he popped in and out) and I think Tempus may have assassinated the president? I remember Lois and Clark in a government office solving the "mystery' when the secret service, etc couldn't? Tempus was in one frame of the footage, I think. He stepped through his time window and stepped back in and nobody could figure out who fired the shot.
Does that sound familiar to anyone?

That is the "Only You" series by Margaret Brignell. It is an absolutely fabulous series.  The five parts are: Only You: If Only Only You: Promise Only You: Recall Only You: Reality (The time window scene you remember is here.) Only You: Fantasy Bob

I don't think it was this fic, Only You, although I'm having a great time rereading it!! I think the assassination was a big part of the story.

What about: Fugue Fugue II The scene you mentioned where Tempus kills Clark's parents would be in part 2 and it was part of a flashback Clark had while unconscious. Although, there is nothing in these fics where Tempus assassinates the president. ML 
She was in such a good mood she let all the pedestrians in the crosswalk get to safety before taking off again.

ML Oh that's one of my favorites. I just reread it not too long ago. I hate it when I can't remember more of the plot but I really want to reread the fic!! *headdesk*

You original description of what you were looking for sounded so exactly like the scene from "Only You: Reality." The final 3 parts of the "Only You" series comprise one of my all-time favorite alt-Lois meets alt-Clark stories and I've read that scene several times. Actually, I love these "looking for a fic" threads, because:
1) Sometimes I actually know which fic it is
2) And if I don't, I go and read the fic that other people supply the name of, and it's always excellent!
