While reading Carol’s Backwards III, I got to wondering if one or both of the following variants has been done:

Both of the following would be approximately cannon up to the point where one of the following occurs:

1. Clark takes Lois with him when he leaves for New Krypton.
2. Clark refuses to leave Lois, even for as long as he did in the series.

I’ve seen many stories where he leaves Lois for longer, but I was curious about these two variants. They seem like obvious twists but I haven't read a story where they are explored.

In reading the script [transcript?] for BGDF, they're told that Lois can't go because it would kill her [the red sun?].

I can't recall either one off the top of my head.

More likely the problem would be the gravity, although the gravity on the ships wasn't that high.

An even more likely scenario is that Zara and Ching lied to keep Lois from complicating things.

That is EXACTLY what I was going to suggest.

After all...

The air on the NK spaceship was fine.
The gravity on the NK ship was good.
There didn't seem to be anything wrong with the light either.

I think I smell a rat. rotflol

Anyway, if I wanted to write the "Lois to NK" version, that is how I would approach it.

I guess I'm just surprised that no one seems to have done this before.

Could this possibly mean another bobbart story?

Well, not on this issue. (But I am working on something else. smile ) I don't have a story idea in mind for either variant that I asked about. As I said before, I've seen so many variants where Clark goes off to NK for various lengths of time (including forever!) that I figured someone would have explored one of these ideas before. I find the concept of Lois going with him to be VERY interesting, but it would need the right story to go with it.

I guess I should have put this in the "Challenge" area.
