So, Carol and I are in IRC talking about this awesome fic that she is definitely going to write or else, and she brings up a story that we both sort of remember reading, but neither of us knows the title, author, or if it was ever completed.

Basically, 5 yo Kal-El gets sent forward in time to live with s1/s2 Clark Kent.

Anyone remember it?

I don't remember the title or the author, but I definitely remember the story. IIRC, it involved a diabolical plan by Tempus and included Lex Luthor, but the story wasn't ever finished. In fact, I think there were only a couple of chapters posted.

I do remember being very interested in it and would love to see it continued.

ETA - OK, this was bothering me so I did a couple of searches and found it. It's The Kid by Mercy. Thread titles show it should have had 13 parts but only 6 were posted to the mbs.
