Bobbart - thank you! blush Janet, what can I say? I love that story... thanks for mentioning Tryst & the sequel...

Remembering some other, older favorites:

That Honeymoon Feeling, by Meredith Knight
Risorgimentio, by Sue S
Are You Lonesome Tonight and Sugar & Spice by LabRat
Persistence of Memory, by Zoomway
Momentum I & II, and Into Each Life by KathyB.
Tales out of Church & The Spying Game, by Irene Dutch
Midnight Gambit, by ML Thompson

Haven't time now to add links but maybe after I feed the family I'll come back...

He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Just one mention since I happened to finish it last night for the nth time:

Laramoon's Reversal of Fortune

Basically if any of you have ever written a story revolving around Lex or post-Lex, that's what I re-read the most. And I do re-read my own stories if I feel like I'm in a slump.

Cheers

Carol, "Garbage"? Yours is beautifully written prose. Whenever I read one of your stories I marvel at the metaphors that you see and write. How many times I have said to myself, "I wish I could have written that." I have, unfortunately, read a lot of garbage. Trust me, your writing 'ain't' it. More like creme fraiche on strawberries.

Beth Summerson's Honesty/Fidelity/Strength series is a also great Next Gen

Favorite Tearjerker: Becky Bain's Ad Astra Per Aspera

Favorite Alt-Clark story: Long Strange Trip by L

Other really great stories: If I Were You and Anybody's Baby....

There are about 100 more stories that I love that I could list

Another great place to pick up stories is the "quote game" thread

Edit....I have to add one more Nan Smith's Second Choice....great alt-beginning story where L&C meet as teens.
