I can't do this without giving away chunks of the plot. You have been warned.

There's a fic where Superman gets shot. Lois may or may not be involved in patching him up, but she certainly knows he got shot. It may or may not be the time he got shot with the kryptonite bullet and she dug it out with a letter opener.

Plot stuff happens. And then Lois finds out Clark has an injury identical to Superman's bullet wound. Or maybe Clark got shot and Superman has the same injury. But I think it was the other way round. More plot stuff happens. Kiss and make up.

Or something like that.

It is the second story Strange Relationships where Superman is shot, he calls Lois, she rushes to the rescue brings him home and digs the bullet out of him while he is on her living room floor with a paring knife. The series is by Nan Smith. The stories are
