Or some similar colloquialism.

I know Clark knows tons of languages, but I don't.

I need some version of 'you're screwed' in multiple languages. It can be some other phrase common in another language that has the same general meaning, but I have no idea what it might be. Even Latin or something would work .

Any thoughts anyone?

Could you elaborate a little more on the circumstances where Clark would say that and to whom??

Ah - sorry.

Um... Not necessarily Clark saying it - just the phrase in general.

So... Superman is dying in the Kryptonite cage in Lex Towers and Lex is being all smug and says 'See, Superman. No way out. You're screwed.' and then repeats the sentiment in other languages.

[I know - not a very Lex thing to say but the first example that popped in my head.]

Or they're in the cages in whatever ep that is with Tim and Amber Lake and Tim and Amber laugh maniacally and say, 'If you touch the floor, the bomb goes off and you're screwed.' then repeat the sentiment in other languages.

Or something like that.

You've given me an annoying project this afternoon, Carol. I've been trying to find an online translation for my answer to this and I can't anywhere. One of the words doesn't even feature in the online dictionaries, but I promise this is a term. It's just a bit slang I suppose.

(Jy is) 'skoon bedondered' is afrikaans for what I would translate as 'totally buggered'.

German:

Du hast verloren!
Du bist am Ende!
(both pretty polite, no swearword, perhaps something the German Lex would have said)

Du bist am Arsch! (Swearword)

Latin:

Perhaps:

Mors pavit vitam. (Death tramples down life)

In Portuguese (Brazil) it'd be:

"Você está ferrado."

It's a slang, but it's the more literal translation and it's very common.

A more polite way would be: "Você está perdido."

In Dutch it would be Je bent genaaid or Je bent de lul.

I asked of the circumstances because in spanish I would say different things in idfferent cases. For example:

'See, Superman. No way out. You're screwed.'

'Como ves Superman, no tienes salida. Estas jodido'

That could be a litteral translation. In this case, I could see Lex talking with hate to Clark so he would use a sweard word.


'If you touch the floor, the bomb goes off and you're screwed.'

'Si tocas el piso, la bomba estalla y eres hombre muerto'

In this case it's not litteral, it means 'you're a dead man'.
