Congrats to all the nominees! party

It's been really tough to make nominations, but with this list, it's going to be very hard to cast my votes as well. So many excellent stories, how am I ever to chose?

So ehm, Rat? Giving out pins again this year? wink

Back to say... I honestly believed that this year I would be sitting back and cheering the deserving nominees from the audience. I had no expectation at all of being nominated - after all, I really don't write L&C fic any more.

And then I saw the list.

Even as I'm still picking myself up from the floor, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who nominated Finding Christmas Spirit. As I said at the time, it was a brief dipping of my toe in the water of L&C to see if I was still capable of writing the characters. I was overwhelmed by the lovely response to the story at the time, and now I'm stunned. Thank you. notworthy Even if I know the other stories in the category are way better, it's an honour to be in there.

Congratulations and good luck to all the other nominees!

I just wanted to give a huge, gigantic, *I can't think of any more words to describe 'big' because I'm still kind of in this odd shock* thank you to anyone who nominated me. I've read previous Kerth nominated stuff and I'm flabbergasted to find myself in such fantastic and skillful company. I'm really just stunned! And so excited!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to all the nominees! As ever, it's going to be a really tough year, trying to pin down the one best story in each category... as an overall note, I'm delighted that L&C is still producing such excellent stories and authors. smile1

Thanks for all the hours of reading pleasure, nominees!

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Wow. You know, for quite a while there, I forgot that I even had an eligible story this year? It's been a long time since I was involved in fic. And now... two noms? I'm quite proud of Steel Shadows, but I never really expected it to get a nomination. Lost Love was a throwaway piece which, in all honesty, I'd completely forgotten even existed. (Sorry, story!) Luckily, Wendy posted the link here, so I could go see what it was about...

(I should probably shut up now. I'm ruining my chances of winning, aren't I?)

Anyway... this is a shock. But... thank you!!

And, of course, congratulations to all the nominees!

Also... I see Steel Shadows, Between Best Friends, The Kiss-Off... How many of this year's nominees are DVD fics? That was an awesome project which produced some really high quality stories, sometimes from really unexpected people. Thanks again to the DVD crew for making it happen!

Wow, I'm amazed by how fast you guys were able to set up the list - thanks a lot, you are amazing!

And I think this is the first year in which I actually nominated, so it's really cool to see that some of my favourites actually made it on the list smile1

Looking forward to an awesome ceremony laugh

Wow! Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read and nominate my stories! I'm really just... overwhelmed blush

And big, huge, squishy congratulations to all the nominees! I'm delighted to see so many of my favorites from last year on that list - so many stories that entertained me, enlightened me, brightened my day, and often just plain blew me away with their word magic. You are all amazing! smile1
