Anyone else having trouble accessing the message board link?

Can you tell us what message board link you're having trouble with exactly, Sheila? Paste the URL here so that we can check it out for you and see if there is a problem we need to work on.

Thanks!

I believe she's talking about

http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/mbindex.html

that link. It says geocities is down.

Ah, I see, it's the mbs index. This is organised separately by The Index Crew, and not by the admins of these mbs, so we're as much in the dark as anyone else. laugh

I'll email them and see if they have any idea of what the problem is and if they have any ETA for it coming back up.

Okay, I've now heard back from one of the Index crew. Apparently, when she couldn't access the site last night, she contacted Yahoo and got back a stock reply telling her the site has been yanked because it violates the terms of agreement. razz

It may be that Yahoo have received a complaint from someone about the nfic theme of the site - even though there's no actual nfic content on it.
Oh gaaahh, this makes me so incredibly angry!!!

The idea that the mere suspicion of any sort of sexual content at all is so sinful that everybody has to cower before the über-righteous ones who disapprove makes me so, so - I don't know, so angry, so unbelievably tired....

Well, turned out that wasn't their beef anyway. What they objected to was links...somewhat bizarrely. According to Yahoo any website which has links on it to other webpages is breaking their terms of service.

Seems a tad odd, but there you go. Anyway, the Index Crew wisely gave up on them and moved the site elsewhere.
