How do send feedback on a fic on the mb when it an is an older fic?
Can you do a search of some kind to see if there is still a comment folder on it?
I just finished Jenni Debbage's Red Sky and loved it. I found it on archive. It is dated Aug. 2006. I wanted to send comments on it. If is still possible. -Elflinn

You could of course write an email to the author.
Sometimes old folders make a reappearance. You could try that way as well. I don't think that anyone considers any kind of well meant feedback as Faux Pas

Usually when is old you can e-mail them.
Try to e-mail her.

Thank you both! I did just that. Let's hope I did it correctly. I know I ask a lot of questions about these things. But, if did not ask these types of questions, I would probably not post any type of comments on the mb. I really apprieciate everyone who has taken the time to answer my requests.

Hey who should be bothered by the problems of newbies? We've all been new once, actually I'm pretty much new to everything I'm doing these days. And I had probably more difficulties being new than you do, since English is not my first language. Who would have guessed? I didn't even dare ask, when I felt like that... I just figured that it would have been clear for all the English speaking people what WHAM, WAFF and all the other stuff means. Not to mention the reating system. And that TOGOM means "Comback for AlCapone" (that's the German title of "that old Gang of mine" isn't so easy after all. So don't ever think you can ask stuipid questions. Or bother anyone. And when you post feedback, every author will love you. It means everything, no matter if it was posted by a newbie or someone else. So don't be afraid!

Email fdk is nice, but if you post feedback to an old comments folder, it can often generate new readers and even more feedback from others who may have missed reading it first time around and have only noticed it because it's reappeared at the top of the fanfic or nfic folder. Certainly, no one minds fdk posts on old stories, so don't be afraid to offer fdk that way if it suits you. To find an old story here on the mbs, simply go to the TOC (Table of Contents) section, hit the 'search' link, enter the name of the story, and you should get the TOC for that story. Most TOCs contain links not just to the story parts, but also the comments folders for each part. Just choose the link for the last comments folder and post your fdk. LabRat

According to FoLCs in the Mist by Mary Potts (aka Queen of the Capes), we're a species, and in every species that wants to survive, the grownups must train the young. I think I'm a teenage FoLC.
I think, therefore, I get bananas.
When in doubt, think about time travel conundrums. You'll confuse yourself so you can forget what you were in doubt about.
What's the difference between ignorance, apathy, and ambivalence? I don't know and I don't care one way or the other.

I forgot about that fic. You are right about that woody. We are a species. By the way, thanks for mentioning Super Stud in one of the posts (Clark gets a cold). I enjoyed reading it very much. I a ways to go before I become a teenage Folc!

FoLCs can grow up fast. I've only been actively participating for 6 months.

Hi, It's amazing to see one of my very old fics mentioned in this thread. Thanks so much Elflinn for the comments, and welcome to our folcdom. You'll find a lot of very helpful people in here. LabRat, I doubt Red Sky will have a TOC, as I'm sure it was posted before these MBs were born. Still it is a nice thought, to generate new readers. You'll notice, I'm all for advertising my wares. Yours Jenni

It shows me that Folc's are not bothered by up and coming Folc's!!! Bothered?? Nah. Try "pathetically grateful" for new FOLCs In the nature of things, people leave a fandom (even one as awesome as this ). Without new FOLCs coming in, we'd go stale and die out eventually. I'm delighted to see new people coming in -- new faces, new perspectives, new stories (fanfic and/or personal) -- you guys keep things interesting & fresh. So please don't ever hesitate to ask questions -- or send feedback! PJ
"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed. He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement." "You can say that again," she told him. "I have a...." "Oh, shut up."
