I was wondering if anyone could tell me why Perry was staying at Clark's in House of Luthor. I know that he came back into town because he was bored of his vacation/early retirement, but did he no longer have a residence in Metropolis? I understand why Jimmy and Jack were staying with Clark, but I'm not quite clear as to why Perry was.

I don't know that they actually said, but I had the impression that he had sold his house before moving to Florida.

Yes, as far as I know, Perry had relocated and was now living in Florida with Alice. So his move back to Metropolis for their investigation would have (at that point) been a temporary visit. I imagine Clark told him not to bother booking into a hotel, but to come crash at his place.
