I read this a while ago and now I can't find it.

It's an alt-world where Clark hasn't yet figured out how to shave at the beginning. He gets hired by a newspaper (not the daily planet) and told he has to get his hair cut. He also gets ribbed a bit by his new co-worker over his needing a haircut. He also scares a woman in some theater, I think she's worried about being killed. Then when he sees her again after he gets a haircut, it takes her awhile to recognise him.

Anyone know it?

Not ringing any bells, I'm afraid. But then I haven't read any fanfic for so long, that's probably not surprising...

I can think of any number of stories where Lois has her haircut. But I think stories about Clark having his hair cut are more rare. laugh So you'd think it wouldn't be too hard to track down.

Any more clues you can offer?

Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly.
Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Ohhh, I have *read* this one. I know that I have read it--I remember Clark having to get his hair cut and freaking out because he *couldn't*, far as he knew, till he accidentally stumbled across the heat vision to do it with . . . and if it ever occurs to me which story this is, I'll post with the info.

Don't point. You make holes in the air and the faeries escape.

Oooh! I'm going to read that! I don't think I've read it even though the title sounds really familar.

I've converted to lurk-ism... hopefully only temporary.
