Okay, I have one hero named. I still need to name another one. I thought I'd start a new thread since this is another hero. Here's the description of Jon's suit:

It's basically the New Kryptonian suit. The sleeves will be all black with no cuffs at the wrist. The belt will be red. Bright blue briefs will be added as well as a bright blue cape. The boots will be black. There will still be a splash of red to the interior background of the 'S'. I'd like to thank TOC for her help in deciding on this suit.

I actually have a rendition of this, but I can't figure out how to get it into an acceptable form to post as an URL, here. (It's a bitmap file.) If you would like to see it, email me and I'll send you a copy.

These are the suggestions I've already had or have come up with myself. I've pretty much decided against Steel Lightning because it's a little hard to say. I'm not inclined to used Steel so much either because that is already a character in the DC universe.

Black Star
Black Fire
Black Flame
Blue Fire
Blue Flame
Blue Lightning
Blue Star
Blue Steel
Steel
Steel Lightning

How about uhm...Lemme see what favours google will do me...I dunno if these are any help...

"The boy's name Rai is pronounced RYE-ee. It is of Japanese origin, and its meaning is "trust; lightning, thunder." Also a Spanish short form of Raimundo."

"Barak is pronounced ba-RAHK, BARE-ek. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "flash of lightning." Biblical: a valiant fighting man who cooperated with the prophetess Deborah to win victory in a battle against overwhelming odds. See also Barric."

Hrm...uh....Sterling? Starling?...no...thats a bird...uhm...Flint? Steele?
Hey what about elvish? Dare ya to use an elvish name for someone....then the public'll assume its kryptonian maybe...hehe...oh dear I might be getting a little silly from lack of sleep.
I really like Barak, but then he'd have to explain his name all the time.

As for the elvish names? You obviously haven't read the part of my story where the twins toy with the idea of calling themselves the Blue Fairy and the Purple Fairy. HaHaHaHa.... Nobody would ever underestimate a fairy again, eh?

Anybody that gives me a name I use will be credited in my story, A New Hero. Thanks, Classicalla

Azure Avenger (hee hee)

Also, while trying to come up with something for you - I found this neat website that has a Superhero name generator... tee hee:

Hi,

I love the ones you select for both of them on part 24.

Steel Lightning = Jon
FireWind = Zared

Hey!! I figured out how to post my 'art' of Jon. I took an existing pic of Superboy and changed it around. Keep in mind, I'm no artist and the colors aren't exact! Click the second link for a bigger picture!! (I posted pics of Zared / FireWind with Part 24 of A New Hero - A New Hero Part 24 )

You drew these, Nancy? They're wonderful! You should post them to FoLC Productions - let more FoLCs see them. thumbsup

Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

I did the pics. I took an existing Superboy pic and altered it (not as easy as it sounds). I have more pics with Chapter 24 of A New Hero. I would like to post them to the the FoLC productions. I emailed Wendy to see how she got the bigger pic to post. The only thing I can get to post is the smaller ones. As soon as I figure out how to do that, I'll post them to the productions thread.

Here's the other two with A New Hero. These are of my FireWind character. I think these are just going to post as links. I'll work on that.

Okay, I the thumbnails to post.

Okay, the reason you have stray [img] tags all over the place here is that you're using some very strange code, Nancy. To post a picture, the code is really very straightforward. You just need the URL of where the picture is posted, ensuring that it ends in a photo extension - like so:

http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/8746/superboyzaredfirewindwr4.th.png

And then you place it between image tags: <img>...</img> Or simply click on the box marked IMAGE below and paste your URL into the resulting dialogue box.

I've used angle brackets instead of square to prevent UBB code from trying to display a photo. wink

For these boards, you don't need any of the URL= code that you're using. That's HTML, and the software for UBB boards is set up differently.

Nightwing would be nice for Jon, but DC already has a claim on this one.
How about...

Darkwing? (Not Darkwing Duck..)
Starnight? (Or Starknight)? (begins with S)
Nightstar?
Darkstar?
Solstice? (He's so dark.)
