You're Invited To The 8th Annual L&C Fanfic Kerth Awards!
When: Saturday, April 2, 6 pm ET (check out the
"what time in your area?" thread if you don't know what time that is for you!)
Where:
#kerthawards (the moderated ceremony channel) and
#kerthchat (for everyone to chat with each other while watching the ceremony)
(Remember that #kerthawards will be moderated, which means that only those people who are "voiced" can speak. Think of it as the stage -- it's where the presenters will step up to the podium looking oh-so-glamourous in their fancy clothes, present the nominees, and open the envelope to discover the winner.
#kerthchat is where the audience gets to chat with each other, offer their congratulations to the winners, and generally just have a great time! You need to be in both channels to get the full effect.

How: Be sure to use an Undernet server! Establish a connection, then simply type "/join #kerthawards" and "/join #kerthchat" to join.
Listen: Download the sound files at:
http://www.lcficmbs.com/kerthawards/kerthsounds/kerthsounds.html and set up your IRC program to hear them. (You need to have them on your hard drive, and also tell your IRC program where to find them. Come a little early to the chat channel if you need help getting your sounds set up; they'll be plenty of people there to tell you how.)
