Now that our last fanfic quiz has been posted, I'd like to publicly thank our lovely Quizmasters for our wonderful, entertaining quizzes! Hazel, Wendy, and Meredith always do a fabulous job, and I appreciate them so much for all their hard work. Thanks, you guys!
And now that that final quiz has been posted, do you know what that means? It's that time of year again: Nominations time for the annual Lois & Clark Fanfic Kerth Awards!
For those of you knew to the Lois & Clark Fanfic Kerth Awards, surf on over to the Kerth Awards website (

http://www.erinklingler.com/lnc/Kerth_FAQ.html). You should learn everything you ever wanted to know about the Kerth Awards there.
Before you nominate any stories, however, make sure to click on the "Frequently Asked Questions" link and read through the information there, especially the section regarding the nominating process. Then when you're ready to nominate your favorite fanfics of 2004, we'd love to have you do so!
Again this year, Annette has set up an automated nominations ballot to make things easier to tally. (Thanks, Annette!) The URL to get to the nominations form is:
http://www.lcficmbs.com/kerthawards/kerthnom05.html Please remember to include a name on your automated nominations ballot (either a screen name or a real name) and a valid email address. There have been times when somebody wasn't sure if the ballot worked, so that person will try again, not realizing they've submitted multiple ballots. Having a name on it will help us to know if a glitch like that happened, and we can throw out the duplicate form. Having a screen or real name helps us to figure out things like this.
Special request: Please gather your nominations (use your notepad, Word document, whatever!
) in one place, then type them all onto ONE automated nominations ballot, and send in ONE form. It isn't against the rules to go, "Oh, shoot! I forgot I wanted to nominate such-and-such story in _______ category!" and then email me to tell me you want that included on your list of nominees. I definitely prefer one nomination form for each person submitting, but if you forget something, by all means, let me know!
Nominations officially open Sunday, February 13th and go through Sunday, February 27th. Please keep in mind that that's a TWO WEEK period. Nominations submitted after the closing date cannot be tallied. Those of us on the Kerth Committee need the week following nominations to sort out all those nominations, tally everything up, and figure out who the finalists are.
When that week is finished, the list of finalists will be posted on Monday, March 7th. We're always as excited as you are to see who those finalists will be!
