Well... I think the subject line says it all, really.

Were we ever told what Ralph's surname was? And if we weren't, does anyone have any good ideas for what it might be? (No promises that I would use any suggestions, however.)

I make no promises, either, as to when this piece of information might eventually see the light of day... if ever. wink

I don't think Ralph had a last name. I think that most fanfic writers make it up.

I certainly made it up. Can't ever recall that we were told what is was. So think you have a free hand there, Chris.

Yes, you have a free hand, Chris. For what it's worth, I made him Ralph Pinedo in one of the FoD stories.

Yvonne
(Why? Because that was the surname of one of the senior executives at the company I worked for at the time, and I didn't have a very high opinion of him. wink )

I made one up for Winners, too ... called him Ralph Parker, I believe. No reason, just looking for something very vanilla and that came to mind. <g>

I went on a search through the eps when I wrote The Portrait. I was surprised to find how few episodes Ralph was actually in. He was mentioned frequently, but didn't appear in the flesh that often. He was never identified with a last name, so like everyone else, I made one up. I wanted to call him Ralph Rankle, but Gerry smacked me on the hand and said it was too obvious, so I settled for Ralph Potter, which I thought desribed him almost as well as Rankle. wink

ROTFL! Anyone want to take a guess as to why we all chose a name beginning with 'P'? laugh

LabRat (who went for Pereira but refuses to speculate on the answer to her question on the grounds it might get her into trouble... goofy )

I think I've given Ralph at least two last names in various fanfics. In the current one, he's Ralph Finklestein and I made him some sort of in-law of Alice's to explain why Perry hired him.

He was Ralph Schmertz in "Mister December." That sounded kinda smarmy, like Ralph. wink

Thanks to everyone who has replied to this thread! Not only have you answered my question, but you've made me chuckle in the process. Who could ask for anything more?

I'll try to come up with something that will do him justice. Plus, just for novelty's sake, I'll try to find something that doesn't begin with 'P'.

Hi,

He don't have last name. "Ralph"

The actor names is James Dumont. You can use the actor last name.

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.
