And I'd like to see more of this story, but if that seems too overwhelming a task, I do have a suggestion -- you could take what you've got written so far -- the interview, the date, the aftermath -- then edit the next morning sequence so that it's a happy ending, and just, um, stop the story there.
I know everyone else on this thread is gonna kill me... but I can easily imagine the stress of setting up a really long, complicated story and then losing time (and perhaps inspiration) to write it. Most of us would be SOL (stuck outta luck
) at that point but you could retrieve most of what you've already got. It's very close to being a fabulous short(er) story
And then, if the rest of it starts flowing, you can always do it as a sequel. I'm quite sure no one here would mind that
