I only know four Return From New Krypton related stories: When Dreams May Come, The Heir, The Heir: Healing, and The Concubine.

I know there must be more Nfic and fanfic on that subject (I love a WAFFY reunion story smile1 ).

Can anyone recommend any others? notworthy

No titles are coming to mind... well, Chris Mulder did "A Hero's Journey" but I'm not sure how WAFFy you'd think it was wink

Check out the archive's "uploaded by date" files -- The summer and fall of 1996 were just chock full of NK stories smile

Ooh, just remembered -- you *must* read The Power to Forgive by Sharon Gilbert.

And I started checking the lists of Kerth winners -- some years have had a "Best Krypton/New Krypton" category. In 2000, Jenni Debbage won with Universal Union, but that's an elseworlds -- Dawn Field's "What if I Never Left Krypton" was another one that turned things interesting upside down. "Love Disabled" by Tank seems to be the kind of thing you're looking for.

Have fun!

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.

I also have a New Krypton series. <bg> Unfortunately, it's not finished yet, but as soon as I can get the last chapter of Little Girl Lost up (most of my beta readers are on vacation), I'll be writing the last story in the trilogy. It's the Forever and All Eternity Series and it can be found on the archive under my real name: Laura Davies.

Well, I hate to plug my own stories, but...hey, you asked! <G>

I too have a New Krypton series. Each story is short and is inspired by a song. They're not a traditional songfic in that the song itself is never actually played within the story. It's just the theme and style, along with a few key lines, that I've borrowed.

The first two are not exactly waffy since the series covers the entire arc, so it begins with a rewrite of Big Girls Don't Fly, but there definitely is a happy ending. smile

Only Standing on the Edge (the first story) has an nfic version. It's available at annesplace.

I don't know how I forgot 'Standing at the Edge' blush , that story choked me up. I can only blame work, recertification, and early onset of dementia. clap

Ethnica, something I've been wondering about... I assume you meant my NK story in your initial post, but it's "What Dreams May Come" instead of "when" so anyone trying to look it up by title will be frustrated...
