Just passing through quickly, but when I saw the title I was psyched. I'll have to read it tomorrow. PJ
"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed. He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement." "You can say that again," she told him. "I have a...." "Oh, shut up."

Yeah, I want to see more than that!
Were the Jils after that rock? I'm somehow convinced there really is a secret weapon. And is the farmer Terran Underground, or just cranky Terran?
Come one, where's the next part??

Yay, part 3!! That's such an American reaction -- we'll put up with a lot if our leaders tell us to, but if somebody starts shooting at us, we're damn well shooting back. And the 'trols had better watch out. I knew Roddy was psychic, and figured Chris was his pyschic partner. It's fascinating to watch them unconciously use and try to figure out what I already know. Good "hearing" indeed. Okay, so where's part 4? PJ

I had a kind-of-a-thought... I hope you are not writing the last story for us because this will be the last story for us... please let this not be the last TU story We love these stories so much and I have just downloaded the last three installments of REVOLT! Great story so far. James

I wasn't expecting another part so quickly, but hey, I'm happy about it! I want more! Are Mark & Alan going to wander into this at any point? I suppose they've got more important things to do - although if the TU wants to find that rock... Will they now tell everyone about the TU, btw? Or maybe they'd better hold that in reserve, just in case things don't go so well. Can't wait to find out! PJ

Part 5, whee! Nice to see Admiral Weaver get recognized. And I almost cheered when they announced that Kurt MacDougal was leading the TU fleet. Good thinking, Chris, switching the rocks and mailing them all off. Let the bully boy go off thinking he's won. So... remember how last time, you posted two parts in one day??? PJ

Talk about your roller-coaster rides! I prefer the reactions of the shuttle passengers So Roddy's telekinetic, and I'm guessing Chris is the one heating up the blasters? Sounds like they'll be invited to join the Special Forces soon. But the most astonishing thing... Mark and Julia have 16 kids???? PJ

Aww, the poor beleaguered heros Very satisfying ending, Nan. Hard to believe the series as a whole spans over 20 years. Writing all that and keeping it interconnected and internally consistent is quite a feat. You and your sister done good. PJ

Thanks, Pam.
By the way, did you spot the cameo?

ok, i've read the first 4 parts, but I won't read the ending until we have all the rest of the stories, so there!
Love how things are progressing and I can't wait to see what happens with the crystal.
btw, I got into real trouble with Elisabeth. Apparently ChiefPam commented on Mark prodigious family and Elisabeth was looking over my shoulder and saw it. 16? Oy!

LOL, James.
Go ahead and read it. It won't hurt anything.
Remember, the purpose of the Sanctuary worlds is to give psychics a safe haven in order to live and have lots of children. Mark and Julia were just doing their job. Leroy Burke and his wife had 20 kids <g>.
Hope you like the story -- and by the way, see if you can spot the cameo of a character in one of the earlier stories. He makes an appearance in the last part.

BTW...
There's been a recount!
There are 55 stories and Nan has given us only 28 stories!
They are wonderful stories and we are so grateful that you are sharing them.
We want more!

Dwayne Seymour, a.k.a. Weasel, from Rainy Season.
Wonderful story, as usual.
So, you and your sister decided to end it with the start of the war.
btw, are there any Jils with straight hair? All of them sound like ads for permanent wave products... James

Think of the hairstyles in the French court just before the French Revolution, James. Jil high society is decadent and superficial, and the kinked, permed hair is the norm for their hairstyles.
And yes, we did decide to end it with the start of the war. You know from the intro to Slave Race how that came out. The war "expelled the Jilectans from the *Terran* Sector and established the Federation of Free Planets which exists today."
Mark and Alan later became Terra's distinguished ambassadors to the Jilectan Autonomy (since it would be pretty hard to fool them.) And sometime after that, they ran into the Centaurs again -- only this time they had the Jils on their side instead of as enemies. I doubt I'll ever get around to writing that one, but they won it, too.
