Beneath the vast celestial tapestry
I gaze up at the brilliant silver moon.
Cascading rays of light envelop me
and pierce dark clouds of emptiness and gloom.
I feel my somber spirits lifted high,
as if the moon herself has granted wings
and I can rise into that starry sky
above life's dreary and opressing things.
I dance to distant strains of joyous tunes
and hold hands gently with the silver moon.

Wow, Emily! This reminds me of the times when I sit up at the lookout point on Mt. Lemmon and just look up at the night sky, and also the vast expanse of city lights, wishing I could be a part of it. There's a sort of peace in imagining that. Sometimes I like to imagine myself flying over the city too.
