I was thinking this was a fairly low-key section until I realized that Mark and Dan were going in to find the globe thing. I don't know why they left Alan behind, so I'm guessing it's because he's a psychic, and that makes me worried for Mark. Sure, he isn't an "active" psychic, but he's got everything but the control factor, and I'm worried about what that globe could do to him.
The natives sound interesting, so I'm also looking forward to finding out more about them.
