Thanks for reposting! smile1

A great start! I love the premise. thumbsup
Rachel and Cal definitely remind me of two other people. laugh

She shuddered. No more nights on the roof. Decisively, she smiled at Alan. "I'd love to."
Yikes! I have a feeling that I'm not going to like Alan.

I'm looking forward to reading the next part.

Wow, Kaylle, great start. Although I don't like the sound of things that you aren't going to give us a definite ending... especially because I'm seeing a bit of Lois and Clark in Caleb and Rachel. I really like the title and how you're fitting the "watching" part into the fic. I mean, of course we know in real life that people who watch the objects of their love/lust all the time are really scary stalkers, in fiction they're always handsome (or beautiful) and wonderful people. If only we had some assurance that you were going to make it all right at the end. As for Alan... maybe he'll be the impetus to get Caleb off his butt. smile Next part soon!

Glad you guys are enjoying this smile My apologies again for the delay in putting it back up.

And of course, watchers are scary in real life (this was something my classmates brought up... they wanted Caleb to be reading Rachel's email and spying on her <g>), but I figure this guy's pretty harmless wink

Part Two should be up in a few minutes smile

Thanks, guys!

Please post part 3 soon, Kaylle, the suspense is killing me! grumble

Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique.
Clark: You certainly are unique.

Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that?
Lois: But I'm worth it!

What he didn't understand was how difficult it would be to escape that role of the safe, platonic friend. He'd been Rachel-watching so long that watching was all he could do. Marty had been wrong. Sooner or later, Rachel needed to be pushed.
And it looks like Alan is willing to do the pushing.

Quote
"Or easy," he confirmed, shrugging as casually as he could manage. "Otherwise he'd never have gotten you just by flashing those baby blue eyes and feeding you bad Italian food. God, if I'd known it was so simple, maybe I'd have tried it."
Yikes! eek I think Caleb may just have lost any chance he had with Rachel.

I can't wait to read the last part.
Please post it soon.

Kaylle, this was a beautiful story. I just read the last part. Thanks for sharing. smile

The 'open' ending doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I think it's perfect! You've described that scene so wonderfully.

Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique.
Clark: You certainly are unique.

Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that?
Lois: But I'm worth it!
