I realize that some of you are gearing up for NANOWRIMO, but this might get the creative juices flowing.

I know we have seen Clark as a Batman wannabe, a singer, and a variety of other occupations, as well as Lois and Perry.

But try and see Clark as a Pest Control specialist, or a Plumber, or an Electrician, or any other kind of Handyman where having X-Ray vision would be very handy.

You need to come up with a plausible way for Clark and Lois to meet. Lois does not need to be a reporter, but it would be nice.

And, if you could injure/maim/annoy Jimmie or Cat, that would be a bonus. laugh

How about Airport Security? laugh

And which story had Clark as a Batman wannabe? That sounds hillarious.

If Clark were in a job such as you listed, he would presumably make house calls. Lois could be a desperate housewife. peep wink

clap Clark could be the poolboy in a red speedo /sighs dreamily/ or maybe a plummer and Lois keeps intentionally breaking things and shoving stuff down the drains around the house just to investigate his backside laugh

Also wondering about the abreviation. confused If someone would clarify.

rotflol More efficient, too.
Gives an entirely new meaning to the word 'body scanner'. And Lois might investigate alleged liberties taken by airport security guards.

Just so you don't think I'm stealing the idea - my next story in my Supergirl / Superman Returns series will have Supergirl using her X-ray vision etc. to rid her new home of mice. One day I may even post the thing...

Thank you for posting the link to NANOWRIMO.

Hmmm, Airport security, nice.

Marcus, I would love to read that one.

I was talking to Elizabeth last night about this one. She agrees that learning to work with plumbing would be perfect to 'fine-tune' just the right amount of strength and manual dexterity.

Clark might have some difficulties with older, lead-containing, pipes. That might be worked into a story somehow.

I read this in Nan's, "Twins" today and thought it would make a fun story:
Quote
He had to admire his
partner's expertise in the field of breaking and entering. It
was just as well, he thought, as she carefully removed the
evidence of her sabotage and tossed it into the trash receptacle
that stood in the hall behind them, that she had chosen to become
an investigative reporter instead of a jewel thief or something.
The Metropolis PD would have been hopelessly outmatched.
It's not a mundane job, but what if Clark or Lois had turned their talents to crime? Either one would make a great jewel thief, with the other an investigative reporter, police detective, or an insurance investigator assigned to help catch the thief.

Thomas Crown Affair, anyone?

Handy X-ray vision - why does "physician" and "surgeon" come to mind at once? Any surgeon with X-ray vision would have an easy time diagnosing stuff, especially in emergency surgery where every second counts.

Then again, there is at least one series where Lois and Clark are surgeons. (Lifelight I, II and III, wasn't it?)

I think Clark would also do well as a mechanic for cars.

The only known quantity that moves faster than
light is the office grapevine. (from Nan's fabulous Home series)
