What if Clark only learned he had a child because a Telepathic link developed?

I was just re-reading Cause and Effect By ML Thompson.

Earlier I'd watched Star Trek Enterprise Season four episodes Demons and Terra Prime wherein T'Pol develops a telepathic link to her daughter Elizabeth .

In Nan Smith\'s Dagger series a telepathic contact between Kryptonian offspring is used.

So suppose Clark and Lois have a child. Any of a dozen ways to get rid of Clark after he and Lois have sex. Say the pheromone's effect on Lois lasts just a couple of hours longer or some such.

Clark leaves and it is only when the link occurs that he learns he has a child.

Or it is some woman in his past, say something like the set up for Stopquitdont's

Chip Off the Old Clark

That sounds really interesting, and I'd love to read a story like this.

Interestingly enough, I kept wanting that to happen in Superman Returns... forgetting that the telepathy b/w Kryptonians was just from LnC, not the movies...
