I was thinking about past challenges we've had. A while back, Meredith Knight challenged writers to rewrite a fairy (or folk) tale around LNC. You can read some of the results here:

We got a wonderful crop of stories, ranging from comedies to angst and all things in between and I'm keen to see what the new authors who've joined us since the challenge was issued could do with this one.

Or...if fairy tales don't grab you, try reworking your favourite movie, another TV show, or book. (If you use these, do remember to credit the original source in an author's note. You can put it at the end of the story if you think it would constitute a spoiler.)
