OK,
so while researching Kryptonian names for Ghost (See FanFic-Related) I found this website dedicated to.....

KRYPTONIAN aka Kryptonese...

anyway
and, while knowingly blowing my own trumpet here, I think I came up with a rather good challenge while writing my post in that thread

this is all in connection to the YODA style quote I made

so
where we could try to write in kryptonian and use the site to formulate stories that utilise the speach patterns etc.

(Yoda's speaking style I think good analogy might be)

so, anyone up for it...
would write more but am being called for dinner now...

Do you mean write in Kryptonese, or just using the grammar? confused

*sighs* I tried to learn Kryptonese once, until I learned that DC has no concept of continuity. razz

Hmm, I don't know if this is a good idea. How do you know about speech patterns? All you sure know about is the little bit of grammar presented there. I think I'd rather stick to a real language than a fictional one. Maybe change this into a challenge where everybody writes English with the patterns (idioms etc) used by other languages such as Spanish or German?

yeah, ok so it may be a bit far fetched...

and after re-reading the actual site have discovered that it would be quite a chalenge for any master linguist to construct not only a story written in a forreign language, but one in which it they construct all the syntax etc. from scratch (as DC wrote sparingly in terms of syntax after plurals and pronouns...

word order et a. woulde also need to be considered,
and on top of this translation would need to be provided

lol
sorry this is pretty incoherent,
but I've had te flu,
and have not slept properly for a week cause I keep waking myself up in coughing fits... also it is why it took so long to get back to you on this..

There is another big drawback: You can't find any vocabulary for Kryptonian/Kryptonese... frown

A shame, though, because it does seem like it should be fun.

I know QC, it did seem fun... but then I got the flu, and am now too busy catching up...

there is a small lexicon on google with Kryptonian translations,

but a whole story in kryptonese would be hard...

perhaps a simple order of words rearrangement an easier version of this quest might be (back to my Yoda example)
