While typing a post, that "word" popped into my head. I was wondering if someone would want to do a short story on this "disease" a la FoLCs in the Mist or the FDK drug. I know Queen of the Capes would do a good job, but if anyone wants to take a hack at it, be my guest.

I think, therefore, I get bananas.

When in doubt, think about time travel conundrums. You'll confuse yourself so you can forget what you were in doubt about.

What's the difference between ignorance, apathy, and ambivalence?
I don't know and I don't care one way or the other.

I wrote something like that as a Kerth ad a few years back. It was a public service announcement from Dr. Deter.

When in doubt, think about penguins. It probably won't help, but at least it'll be fun.

Hey HatMan...know the link? <me goes searching...>

I've converted to lurk-ism... hopefully only temporary.

Did a bit of digging. Wasn't easy to find the older transcripts. Kerthawards.com only has the last couple of years right now.

Turns out, it was The 2002 ceremony . You should be able to find it if you search for "max".

The disease wasn't exactly FoLCitis, though. It was L&CWS (Withdrawal Syndrome). Close enough, maybe. It's shorter than I remembered, and some of the gags may be dated (whatever happened to the Disemboweling Shears, anyway?), but maybe you'll still enjoy.

There's also a bit about L&CWS in the author's note of one of my very early fics, Superman Vs The Pragmatist . It's nearly as long as the story, and I've often felt that it was better than the story itself.

In any case, if anyone wants to do a better, updated, and/or more in-depth bit... please do! Probably not hard to top either of those.

Paul

Those were Kaethel's shears weren't they?

And the half-dead ficus?

Is it still around - or is it completely dead by now?

L&CWS is one thing, but FOLCitis is another. This is something where one can't get enough fanfic to read, and sometimes sees their nick as the last poster in five or more forums. This is for those who may never have seen the show when it aired and therefore never suffered withdrawal but are still afflicted with a disease. Just for clarification.
