Yeah, that'd be really interesting! I think Cindy Leuch did this though, in
Shades of Grey . In it, Lois is a private investigator cum arsonist.
How about if Lois was some kind of CIA hit woman, and neither of them had told the other about their moonlighting activities? I see definite potential for a "Mr. and Mrs. Kent" in that.
But in the premise you're suggesting, it could also be possible that Lois hates Superman, as an interfering goody-two-shoes, but feels drawn to Clark's more tangible innocence and optimism. I think she'll try to fight those feelings, to be able to do her job, and to protect Clark. Clark would be subconciously drawn to Lois, but outwardly irritated with her superior attitude and constantly leaving him out of the loop. He'd veiw her as an immoral, snobbish and self-centred woman, especially given her animosity toward Superman. I'm seeing a lot of love-hate and angst here.
