There's a restaurant called The Magic Time Machine in Dallas and San Antonio (
http://magictimemachine.com/) where the waiters dress up as different characters, including Superman! However, he doesn't act like any Superman we know, but rather a Superman with an attitude who is hacked because he is now stuck being a waiter!
His rude behavior is part of the restaurant's "charm" because all the waiters at the restaurant insult the guests. For example, if you asked any employee where the restroom is, they escort you all around the restaurant singing and announcing to everyone that you need to go "wee-wee." If you drink your tea too fast, they bring you a giant container as a refill. Heaven forbid if you spill your drink because your refill is in a toddler's sippee cup. (BTW, Superman used his cape to wipe up the spilled drink.) If you ask your waiter to repeat a list that he had already said to someone else in your party (for example, available drinks or salad dressings), the waiter will sigh and say if you would just listen, he wouldn't have to repeat himself. When it is time to leave, the waiters encourage you to do so as soon as possible, so they can start missing you. I'm sure you get the idea.
The Superman in Dallas looked more like George Reeve's Superman, but with a slight overhang at this belt. Also it looked like he had a rolled up sock stuffed in a critical location.
Other characters as waiters include Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Snow White, Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), Anakin Skywalker, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of Caribbean, the Riddler, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Zorro, Waldo (from Where's Waldo), the Mad Hatter, Ace Ventura, the Phantom from the Opera, Aladdin, Jasmine, and I'm sure others I don't remember.
Great fun if you don't mind being made fun of. The menu includes steaks, chicken, seafood, etc. If you want vegetarian, they say you can just have a big fat bowl of nothing!
Anyway, after that long description, LabRat suggested:
Sounds like the start of a fanfic to me. <g> I can just see Lois dragging Clark to this hip new restarant and then being so appalled by their rude waiter dissing Superman's reputation that she ends up threatening to take him outside and remind him of his responsibilities when impersonating the man. <g> And her initial reaction to seeing that their waiter is Superman could also be fun. Especially if it was an early Lois.
