An answer to the Dr. Seuss challenge.

That Old Gang of Rhyme.
by Elisabeth

He should have whisked her from that dive,
told her the news. He’s still alive!
He’d done his best to face the clone,
that bold, old gang led by Al Capone.

He could’ve.
He should’ve.
He wasn’t good enough.

So slinking off in the night back home
he went.
Back home to Ma.
Back home to Pa.
Back home to each of the Kansas Kents.

But Clark, oh Clark. What should become
of him?

Looking dead and gone, the future looked grim.
And Lois, oh Lois. What more could be said?
Her dearest friend, she saw him dead.

Should he tell her of his guise?
Could he?
Should he?
Was it wise?

Should he tell her in the air?
Then whisked away to private lair?
