Nan, you do this so well. The suspense while we wait for Superman to arrive, the irony of Luthor trying to break into his own limo, the description of the deserted orchard, the mystery of what is happening, the fear for Lois and finally the humour of Lois taking down Joey.

Good to see Clark enjoying the humour of the situation, but he should be careful because Lois might not appreciate it. He too may be covered in mud.

Great section.

Another excellant instalment.

The scenario was both tense and logical as it unfolded. Joey must have been pretty desparate because I'd have to think that it would take some significant money to bribe a Luthor driver. He'd have to know that he'd be dead meat if Luthor survived. wink

Lois to the rescue. Now Lex will have to live down the fact that Lois 'saved' him. Not good for the old macho ego, but it could have the opposite effect of making Lex actually fall in love with this remarkable woman.

MORE!

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

So where did the Limo Driver take off to?? I'd like to give him a chop in the you-know-whats too!!!

Let's find him and track him down.

Seeing a different, more street-wise side of Luthor was actually fun (picking locks with hairclips.....brings him back to his roots on the streets).

You've got a lot of places to go with this now....looking forward to next ep

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.

Excellent post and very entertaining.

I do have one nit-pick, but I will email that to you privately.

Whoa! Talk about exciting, Nan! And, as someone else said, the sight of Lex reverting to street tricks was fascinating.

And so he's been shot (YAY! thumbsup ), and Lois saves the day yet again, not even leaving much for Superman to do. wink More soon!!
